Indigo Blue Beach House and Cottage features two units. Indigo Blue Beach House - 9 Sleeper, and Baby Blue Cottage - sleeps 2 adults, and there is a small sleeping area available for 2 children aged 8-10 years.
Please note that both units are housed on the same property, and can be booked together or separately. For a breakdown of these two units, please read through the descriptions below.
Indigo Blue Beach House - Rate includes 2 single kayaks, a kid’s kayak and a SUP (shared). There is a new wood fired hot tub. The house sleeps 8 guests as follows; one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a third bedroom with 3 single beds. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a free-standing bath and hand shower, and one with just a shower. Bedrooms are equipped with down duvets and pure cotton linen, and all have partial lagoon views. Bath and beach towels are provided. There are two spacious living areas, of which, one is located at the rear of the house and opens onto a wind-protected courtyard with a braai area, as well as a wooden deck overlooking the beach with a hot and cold outdoor shower. There is limited Wi-Fi, but no TV. Please bring your own streaming device. A couple of kayaks are provided for guests to us. These are shared with the cottage and kept in the boat room at beach level. There is a new wood wired kol kol hot tub. Indigo Blue is a classic beach house that provides the ideal base for a laid-back holiday. Situated on Sandbaai Beach, the house has its toes in the sand as you can literally walk from the front door out onto the beach.
Baby Blue Cottage - is a compact studio cottage equipped with everything a couple or small family needs for a seaside break. Situated on Sandbaai in Langebaan, guests have direct beach access and unimpeded views. There is limited wifi (you can top up if needed) so bring along a streaming device. The cottage offers accommodation for 2 adults, The cottage comprises twin beds which can be joined to form a king-size bed. Inside the cottage is a small sleeping loft for kids aged around 8 to 10 years. The cottage is bright and breezy and includes a hanging cupboard. Curtains and blinds are installed on all door and window openings except for the kitchen area, which faces onto the covered braai area. At the rear, a wind-protected undercover patio and generous barbecue area provide an additional outside room, while a patch of lawn and a mini tree grove offer plenty of space to stretch out.
A hot and cold outdoor shower is great for after the beach. Included in the daily rate are a couple of Fluid sit-on-top kayaks as well as a SUP, complete with paddles and adult buoyancy vests. These are shared with the main house and kept in the boat room at beach level.

Situated an easy hour?s drive from Cape Town, Langebaan provides an ideal base from which to explore the West Coast and the bounty of excellent attractions in the area.

- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit. If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
Sadly, petty crime is a reality in many parts of our country so we advise the following common-sense precautions:
* Don’t leave any valuables in your car, especially overnight.
* Take care to bring your belongings in from the beach.
* Don’t leave electronics in plain view around the house.
* Use the alarm provided, especially at night (briefly press the white button to arm and disarm the outside beams - light on keypad will turn green)
* There’s no TV but we have Wifi (password for Indigo Blue is ‘lifestooshort’ and for Baby Blue it’s the string of numbers on the router). Bring you own streaming device.
* Included in the daily rate is a Stand Up Paddleboard and a couple of Fluid sit-on-top kayaks, complete with paddles and buoyancy vests. These are shared with Baby Blue Beach Cottage. Please bring your own kid’s life vests.
- Take the R27 out of Cape Town through Table View, past Atlantic beach, Yzerfontein and the turn off to the West Coast National Park*
- Take the Langebaan turn off to the left
- Drive through the town of Langebaan, through a number of 4 way stops - you will pass the Spar on your right
- Carry on straight for approx 2km and you will see the Special Forces base on your left.
- At the four way stop
- turn right at the park into Lagoon Crescent.
- First left into Basson Street and Indigo Blue is the only house on your left. White with grey roof.
- The route through the National Park is awesome but check the gate opening times. There is also a conservation fee payable on entry but if you have a WildCard, you won’t pay this. Drive straight through the park, Take the Langebaan turn off to the right, exit the park and drive until you reach a 4 way stop. Turn left into Sunbird, right into Oostewal at next 4 way stop (yacht club straight ahead) and then second left into Lagoon Crescent. First left into Basson Street and Indigo Blue is the only house on your left. White with grey roof.
Keys - If you are self-catering - there is a combination safe between the poles at the outdoor shower opposite the entrance doors. Combination is 2810. Keys to the other doors are attached to each door.
Children of all ages are welcome.
