is set in the peaceful and friendly Village of Stormsriver and is a calm and relaxed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is also a safe haven for cost conscious Travellers.
Imka is not Freedom from the Storm but peace within the Storms and here there is enough space and privacy to retreat, relax and restore your soul, to contemplate nature and life, breathe the pure air and gaze at unpolluted skies.
Marvel at the forces of nature so evident in the Tsitsikamma as you walk beneath huge multi-hued skies, savouring the sights and sounds of the indigenous forests, the fynbos and Indian ocean at the nearby Storms River Mouth (Tsitsikamma National Park) – the home of the world famous Otter Trail.
This small (sleeps max 12 people) owner run establishment is fully fenced and parking is secure. Imka is ideal for self-drive guests – couples, families, hikers and small groups.
Imka offers safe Surroundings in the heart of the Tsitsikamma – an ideal base from which to explore the many aspects of this magnificent area. No alcohol is sold on the premises.
Accommodation at Imka Trinity Retreat:
Our options are affordable and stylishly simple, clean and comfy, spacious and secure. Whilst we don’t go in for costly fancy frills – home comforts, care and attention are assured – abundant hot water (Eskom permitting), heaters in all rooms, comfy beds, fresh linen and space and privacy to unwind and relax.
The property is fully fenced and ample safe off street parking is next to your accommodation.
The Self Catering Guest House is also suitable for Self Drive guests and Small Tour Groups.
Surrounded by an abundance of cool green indigenous forests, in the shelter of the majestic Tsitsikamma Mountains, and a stones throw from the Spectacular Storms River Mouth. A Safe and Serene location for local and overseas guests to base themselves whilst exploring the many aspects of the Tsitsikamma – a place the ancient Khoisan people called “place of abundant water”.
Situated halfway between George in the Western Cape and Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, Stormsriver sits on the border of the two provinces. In this Fun Filled Forest Dorpie visitors can choose the pace of their holiday – either embarking on a whirlwind rollercoaster ride of adventure or make their journey relaxed and laid back whilst soaking up the tranquility of the surroundings.

Tsitsikamma National Park, the famous Otter Trail and many other shorter day hikes and walks start from here.
Danny, one of your hosts (when not Touring) is a qualified National Tour Guide and speaks Swiss German and German and conducts guided hiking hours in the indigenous forest and along the spectacular coastline of the Tsistkamma.
He can also arrange tailor made guided tours.
Stormsiver Village is the home of Stormsriver Adventures, the amazing Tsitsikamma Tree Top Canopy Tour, Blackwater Tubing and Waterfall Zipline Tours are close by and the World's highest Bungi jump and Flying Fox are at the Bloukrans Bridge - a mere 20 km away.
Indigenous forests and nature trails surround Serenity Retreat and Horse and Mountain Bike Trails follow the old Stormsriver passes and paths.
Natures Valley and the Crags are less than 50 kms from Stormsriver and the Crags boasts many Wildlife Sanctuaries - Elephants, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Wild Cat Rehabilitation and Snake Sanctuary.
We are ideally situated between the surfing mecca of Jeffrey's Bay and the jewel of the Garden Route - Plettenberg Bay is only 65 kms away.

We had a lovely time - charming and very helpful host. Surroundings beautiful and peaceful. Facilities good and clean. One suggestion - lighting in the rondaval could have been better - difficult to read at night.
