Hawksmoor House occupies a stunning location amidst vineyards with an expansive view from the Manor House verandah towards our beloved Table Mountain. Our sundowner patio offers spectacular sunset panoramas - perfect to gaze at while you savour a glass of our own range of Hawksmoor wines. The quiet and serene estate is a 25-minute drive away from the buzzing Cape Town centre.
In addition to our guests, the farm is home to horses, cows, porcupines, hawks, pelicans and countless other wildlife. Hawksmoor House offers a House that occupies an unspoilt, unpolished and authentic country home experience for those who need some well-deserved rest. It’s the perfect place to unwind.
The villa offers 2 en-suite bedrooms (queen bed and twin beds), each with a bath and shower. It features an open-plan kitchen, dining area, a wood-burning fireplace and access to a secluded courtyard with Table Mountain view.

Directions from Cape Town International Airport to Hawksmoor House on Matjieskuil Farm. Directions to Hawksmoor House (Matjieskuil Farm) The final destination is near the R304 in Klipheuwel. Option A: From Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) 1. From the airport, get onto the N2 highway heading towards Somerset West. 2. Look for the R300 off-ramp (this is marked for Bellville). Take this ramp. 3. Follow the R300, and then take the off-ramp for the N1 highway heading towards Paarl. Merge onto the N1. 4. After you pass the Engen One-Stop fuel station, take Exit 39. 5. At the T-junction, turn left onto the R304 towards Klipheuwel. 6. Once you are on the R304 heading towards Klipheuwel (after the N1 intersection): 7. You will pass the first left turn marked for Joostenberg Vlakte. 8. About 500 meters further, as you reach the crest of the first rise, look out for a white signboard on your left that reads: Hawksmoor House on Matjieskuil Farm. 9. Turn left immediately at the signboard. 10. Drive down our farm road for a further 1km until you reach the house. Option B: From the N1 (Paarl Side) 1. Head toward Cape Town on the N1 highway. 2. Take Exit 39 (be mindful, as this is a sharp hairpin bend!). 3. At the T-junction, turn left onto the R304 towards Klipheuwel. 4. Once you are on the R304 heading towards Klipheuwel (after the N1 intersection): 5. You will pass the first left turn marked for Joostenberg Vlakte. 6. About 500 meters further, as you reach the crest of the first rise, look out for a white signboard on your left that reads: Hawksmoor House on Matjieskuil Farm. 7. Turn left immediately at the signboard. 8. Drive down our farm road for a further 1km until you reach the house. Option C: From Stellenbosch 1. Head towards the N1 using the R304. 2. Cross straight over the N1 highway. 3. Now, proceed to the “Final Steps” below. Final Steps (1.5km) Once you are on the R304 heading towards Klipheuwel (after the N1 intersection): 4. You will pass the first left turn marked for Joostenberg Vlakte. 5. About 500 meters further, as you reach the crest of the first rise, look out for a white signboard on your left that reads: Hawksmoor House on Matjieskuil Farm. 6. Turn left immediately at the signboard. 7. Drive down our farm road for a further 1km until you reach the house.
