Goose Green Lodge

Goose Green Lodge, offers a choice of Bed and Breakfast or Self-catering accommodation. For warm summer afternoons a pool and a traditional braai area offers convivial outside relaxation, but the garden also contains a shady gazebo and lots of comfortable garden furniture for enjoying some quiet moments. In winter, a gorgeous lounge area with built-in fire place provides the ideal place to day-dream, read or play board games.

Apart from the delicious breakfasts that we prepare for guests and their visitors daily, we can also make arrangements for breakfast or lunch snack packs, canap`s or simple, yet tasty, dinners. All guests, including guests staying in our self catering cottages, are welcome to discuss meal requirements with us.

We have free WiFi in all rooms and a large DVD collection is available. Child care can be arranged and we offer craft sessions for the children of guests from time to time.

Whether you visit the beautiful Cape to go surfing, mountain-biking, horse riding, fishing and other activities, or you just want to enjoy our beautiful beaches, Goose Green Lodge is the perfect choice. For business travelers the lodge provides a comfortable home away from home where you can relax after a hard day`s work.

Accommodation at Goose Green Lodge:
On offer you will find a choice of Bed and Breakfast accommodation or two 2-bedroom cottages, ensuring privacy and flexibility, while still offering all the little luxuries enjoyed by B&B guests.

Bed and Breakfast
Our double/twin en-suite bedrooms have their own entrances and furnished patios looking out onto the garden, swimming pool and up at nearby Dassenberg (Afrikaans for "rock hyrax mountain"!), Spitskop and Chapman`s Peak. There is coffee machine, flat-screen television with DStv and a safe for guests` convenience. Three of the rooms have a shower and one room has a bath with hand shower.

Executive Suite
Attached to the main house is the semi self-catering Sugarbird Excutive Suite which offers 3/4 twin beds, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over bath, a work station, seating area, kitchenette and HD DStv. All guests have access to the comfortable guest lounge in the main house, with lots of books, magazines, DVDs and board games. Breakfast is normally included and is served, whenever possible, on the verandah overlooking the garden and includes fresh fruit and fruit juices, cereals and yoghurt, delicious breads and jams, cold meat and cheeses, with a hot option always on offer.

We have electronic safes in all rooms, offer general business services and can provide a laundry service upon request. Meals, snacks, picnic baskets and canaps can be arranged, or we will gladly make a reservation for you at one of the excellent restaurants in the area. Rooms are serviced daily. Please note that single and per person sharing rates apply.

Self-Catering Cottages
Our two cottages are located next to each other at the bottom end of our garden. Guinea Fowl Cottage is the larger of the two and has a spacious master bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms. A lovely family lounge and dining area and a stylish kitchen ensure that you enjoy all the comforts of a home away from home. Sunbird Cottage, the cosy and colourful second cottage, has a master bedroom, a twin bedroom and a beautiful, fully tiled bathroom (with bath and open shower). The airy conservatory opens out to the garden, and a fully-equipped kitchen and breakfast nook rounds off the picture.

Each cottage has a satellite television, DVD player and all the glassware, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment a family would normally need. Although equipped for self-catering, many of our cottage guests stroll up the garden in the morning to have breakfast with the guests.
