As you enter the spacious and very comfortable sitting room, huge overstuffed sofas invitingly beckon you to sit cozily with a good book and liqueur in front of a huge roaring log fire in winter. Or, equally inviting in summertime, light and airy with French doors opening onto the large surrounding veranda and garden.

Open plan to the sitting room and dining area is the large pleasant farm style kitchen for self catering purposes, equipped with all you could need, giving a free flow for easy and relaxed socializing, whether in the kitchen, the sitting room or outdoors.
The smell of home made rusks baking often fills the kitchen inviting guests to brew a cup of delicious filter coffee and dunk a rusk. These are available to guests at all times.
For early risers an ideal place to relax and enjoy that first early morning cuppa is the large veranda running the full frontage of the guesthouse. From here watch the splendid sunrises or on a perfect evening enjoy a sundowner and enjoy the sound of the many different birds as the dusk settles into darkness.
Under a huge old tree in the garden is an ideal shady spot to relax with a nearby unique Koi pond feature. Close by in a lovely sheltered spot is a swimming pool for cooling off on the hot summer days or just lounging around relaxing for some sunbathing.

Goblins Creek boasts four magnificent bedrooms designed for the romantic at heart. Each bedroom has a huge king size four-poster bed with puffy down duvet and white percale covering and of course a log fireplace.
Each bedroom also has its own bathroom with old-fashioned ball and claw bath and lots of candles completes the setting making bedtime and bath time an absolute indulgence.
No 1 Sunrise Surprise
A delightful room with a queen-size four-poster bed, a log fireplace for cosy romantic evenings. Double doors lead onto a large private veranda with a delightful sunbed. A Victorian-style bath is well situated to view a spectacular sunrise whilst bathing, or view it from the bed surrounded with lots of pillows and still snuggled in the puffy white feather duvet. Either way, a magnificent way to start the day.
No 2 Sea Sound
This large airy room with plenty of windows has a king-size four-poster, lots of pillows and a puffy white feather duvet. A crackling log fire can be enjoyed in the wintertime. The large Victorian-style bath, big enough for two, is beautifully situated making bath time a romantic pleasure. Lie back surrounded by plenty of candles and listen to the sound of waves oft he nearby ocean.
No 3 Golden Glen
This beautifully appointed room has a king-size four-poster bed, lots of pillows and a puffy white feather duvet. Lie in bed and enjoy a log fire in the winter. In the summertime, double doors can be opened onto a lovely private koi pond garden. Lit up at night it makes a perfect place to toast each other with chilled champagne, the sound of water enhancing the experience. A Victorian-style bath, beautiful gold mirror, plenty of candles and white fluffy towels makes bath time a luxurious indulgence. All in all a room to pamper the senses.
No 4 Ethnic Splendor
This beautiful room with an ethnic feel has a king-size four-poster bed, lots of pillows and a puffy white feather duvet. Double doors lead out into a lovely koi pond garden, filled with the sound of water and birds singing. A large Victorian-style bath, big enough for two with adjoining shelf and candelabra, invite one have a candlelight bath time picnic, maybe with champagne and strawberries. A log fire burning close by adds the finishing touches to a romantic evening.
No 6 Owl House
This room is in the back garden of Goblin’s Creek with access through the main house and has a view over our owl sanctuary and the huge garden. This light and spacious room has a king size bed which can be converted to 2 single beds. French doors leading onto a lovely porch, from where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife in the wonderful garden. The en-suite bathroom has a shower.

Attractions and activities:
Take the four minute walk to the nearby beach - stroll the white sands - view the calving whales who come from August to years end and also large schools of dolphins leaping and chasing close by.
A lovely protected cove on the South Western shore of St. Helena Bay - one of the only three natural bays on the mainland coastlines of the world where one can see both sunset and sunrise over the sea.
Well situated for day visits to the West Coast National Park, Cape Columbine Nature Reserve and the quaint fishing village of Paternoster. Or you can join a tour of the internationally renowned palaeontological diggings at the nearby Fossil Park.
A birdwatchers paradise, with more than 200 species, visit the hides at Rocher Pan, The Berg River Estuary and saltpans of Velddrif, as well as the golf club in Vredenburg.
The free springflower veld displays every year are a Botanists dream as is the nearby Darling and Hopefield flower shows.
From Cape Town take the R27 (West Coast Road). Take a left turn off the R27 towards Vredenburg. (This is after turnoffs to Langebaan and Saldanha). Drive for approximately 10 kilometres into Vredenburg itself.
At the first set of traffic lights you come to in Vredenburg take a right turn onto the R399 towards St Helena Bay. Drive for 10km then turn left at the sign St. Helena Bay/Stompneus Bay. Travel 17km (in westerly direction) until you see the superette "De Agterbaaier" on the left.
You will be facing St. Helena Bay Fishing Company. Past "De Agterbaaier" take the second road left into Concorde Drive. Goblin's Creek is the last house at the end.
