George is in the Heart of the Garden Route and offers itself as the central point to start your Garden Route activities from Oudtshoorn to Mossel Bay, Wilderness, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
In George itself are plenty activities on offer from a visit in our George Museum and the historical woodworker track to the Botanical Garden with the unique Cape Floral Kingdom, a walk to explore the historical buildings in George, the Outeniqua Farmers Market on a Saturday as well as our shows and festivals throughout the year.
The Highlights are the Strawberry Festival integrated in the George Heritage Festival in September and the Old Car Show at the second weekend in February.
George is also well known for sporting activities such as the OCC (the Outeniqua (wheel) Chair Challenge, an international recognized race, Rugby, hockey and netball events on provincial and national level that attract many visitors.

At the back of the house is a beautiful and tranquil garden to relax. Parking is in front of the house next to the street. All facilities are non-smoking.
