Fouriesburg Country Inn
is en-route to most destinations in the country, making it the ideal stopover to / from the Cape to KwaZulu-Natal and the Kruger National Park.
Its location makes it the ideal base to use, to discover the wonder of the Eastern Free State, as well as the gateway to Lesotho.
Fouriesburg is situated 10 km from the Lesotho Border and 50 km from Golden Gate National Park and is surrounded by the Maluti mountains and the Witteberge.
The natural beauty of the town’s surroundings, particularly on the road from Fouriesburg to Clarens and Golden Gate is some of the loveliest in the country.
Fouriesburg Country Inn, a sandstone and oregon pine building was established in 1892, and in 2016 revamps took place to upgrade to soft decor in the rooms and also on some section of the building it self. Enjoy authentic country cuisine, with superb South African wine, chosen from the underground wine cellar.
What can be more enjoyable than a meeting in the Clock and Train Bar, where in the winter you can sit in front of a wood fire place, enjoying a drink?

Main building has been beautifully restored. Meals were of good quality for money, and very tasty. The rooms were clean and neat, but could do with a upgrade. Service were warm and friendly, as expected from small town hospitality.

We stayed in the sandstone cottage, in three of the luxury bedrooms. As this was my 3rd stay this year, it was an absolute treat to stay in a luxury room and would recommend this anytime to my friends and to the BMW Motorcycle Club Central. Of course, the service was great and food was extremely tasty. I am looking forward to my next trip. The Fouriesburg Country Inn offers such a nice friendly, homely atmosphere, that it makes you want to keep on going back there time and again.

I thought it was good as a Country Inn. Nothing fancy but hospitable and comfortable.

Sandstone Chameleon Guest House is where comfort meets luxury, TGCSA four star. Its thick sandstone walls and Oregon pine floors provide a homey atmosphere in which one can kick back and relax in front of a huge log fire. We are gay-friendly
