Excelsior Manor Guesthouse, in the heart of the Robertson Wine Valley, is a Cape Revival manor built during the ostrich feather boom of the early 1900s. Having been recently lovingly restored to its former glory, it offers quiet luxury and personal hospitality. Set in a mature and graceful garden, with shady trees and fragrant roses, the Manor has homely bedrooms, with en suite bathrooms, and exudes old world charm.
Generous home cooked breakfasts and delicious three course dinners are served in the traditional dining room or on the raised deck overlooking the swimming pool with a view over the vineyards to the Langeberg mountains.
Excelsior is a working wine farm which has been in the de Wet family for 5 generations since 1859. Enjoy exploring the 250 hectare farm, cycling, bird watching, fishing in the dam and blending your ‘own creation’ wine.

Agricola and Hussein are classic rooms with a Super King or twin bed configuration. They have en-suite bathrooms with showers, and have beautiful views over the front garden. With a balcony.
San Louis is a classic room with a Queen bed configuration. It has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, as well as a small sunny lounge that overlooks the beautiful garden. With a balcony.
Country Cousin is a small, but comfortable budget-friendly room. It has a queen-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower. With a balcony.
Octavius is our largest room, consisting of a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower and slipper bath. It leads out onto a veranda that looks over the front garden. With a balcony.
Evanthuis and Gondolier are standard luxury rooms equipped with a Super King size bed or twin beds, and have en-suite bathrooms with shower and slipper bath. With a balcony.
Allure and Dancing Duel are both standard luxury rooms with King or Twin bed configuration. They have en-suite bathrooms with showers and lead out onto the back terrace which offers stunning views over the vineyards. Allure is our wheelchair friendly room.

From Cape Town:
Take the N1 to Worcester. Turn into Worcester and follow sign posting to Robertson. Pass through Robertson and continue past circle. About 10 km beyond the circle, there will be a right turn to Bonnievale- turn right here. Once across the railway line continue for another 2 km (you will pass a school and cottages on your left), just beyond this turn left into Excelsior.
From Swellendam (N2):
From N2 at Swellendam turn Left at the Ashton turn off. Pass through Ashton, about 7 km outside of Ashton you will see a left turn to Bonnievale- turn left here. Once across the railway line continue for another 2 km (you will pass a school and cottages on your left), just beyond this turn left into Excelsior.
