The Lodge is very nice! You really feel like you're staying with family instead of being guests. It did surprised us that is was so close to the N2. But is was very nice that is was! And that it's only 40 minutes from Port Elisabeth. The gate to Addo is also nearby and you can book several MUST DO excursions in the area. Like the private park Schotia and a Elephant Back Ride Safari! To do all that we recommend you stay at least 3 days! The rooms were also very nice and a very nice home baked breakfast is served at the deck out side with the lovely view of the river. In the evening they put the fireplace on and you can relax in front of the fireplace and talk about the superb things you've done that day!
The hosts were friendly and helped to make the stay a very pleasant one, able to take us on a 'safari' at very short notice. The great position for the house on the banks of the river. The only downside was that the room was rather dark, with only small windows, and a higher wattage light bulb wouldn't have gone amiss. The food in the local pub was basic but good, and the staff there were very friendly.
