Award-winning Dune Ridge Country House is set on the outskirts of the quaint upmarket village of St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis. Nestled discreetly within the lush landscaped gardens or attached to the main house, each unit has its own private patio and view over the natural coastal fynbos.
Our 7 units are individually decorated with dark wood furnishings and all with en-suite bathrooms (bath and shower separate), a mini bar, television, ceiling fans, underfloor heating and hairdryers. There are 3 different accommodation options:- The four main garden suites are attached to the main house. These rooms all have king-size beds which can be converted into twin beds. Dark-hued cupboards and headboards complement the rich fabrics and throws that adorn these rooms. Each room has a large ottoman that can fold out into a stretcher bed for those couples that would like a child to share the room with them. Classic ball and claw bathtubs, all with garden views, fit perfectly into the black and white bathrooms, each with a separate shower as well as a toilet. All bathrooms have underfloor heating to warm up the rooms on those chilly winter evenings. Two adjoining garden suites situated on the edge of the garden, facing the coastal thicket. For those couples that are looking for the ultimate breakaway with no noise, just the sound of the sea and birds, these are the perfect rooms. Light and airy with crisp white linen and light floral throws and scatter cushions. Each with its own private veranda that can be enclosed if need be, these rooms are cosy and private. Classic ball and claw bath tubs, all with garden views, fit perfectly into the black and white bathrooms, each with a separate shower as well as a toilet. All bathrooms have underfloor heating to warm up the rooms on those chilly winter evenings. One Family Cottage big enough for a family of four. This unit is large and spacious, with two bedrooms: the main bedroom with a king-size bed and the second bedroom with twin beds. There is an independent lounge area that leads out onto the open patio/veranda, which is ideal for outside dining or al fresco meals during the summer months. A large bathroom with its black and white checkered floor, classic ball and claw bath, white marble top with twin basins and spacious shower. This bathroom has underfloor heating to warm up the room on our chilly winter nights. The Family cottage has a large garden with an outdoor swing for the children to use, which is ideal while adults sit on the patio with a good book and relax within easy view of their children.

The Family Cottage features two spacious bedrooms, an extra-large en-suite bathroom with twin basins, shower, and claw-foot bath, separate toilet, generous lounge, stocked minibar, and private patio, providing comfortable accommodation for families.
The Garden Cottage offers a king bed, en-suite bathroom, stocked minibar, and tea/coffee facilities. A peaceful retreat nestled among indigenous gardens, blending timeless charm with modern comforts, plush furnishings, and soothing pale green interiors.
The garden suite is attached to the main house, furnished with king/twin beds. The room is adorned with dark-hued furniture and a four-poster bed decorated in rich fabrics. It offers an en-suite bathroom, coffee/tea facilities, and a stocked minibar.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
Driving directions from Port Elizabeth: 1. Travel on the N2 towards Port Elizabeth/Humansdorp. 2. Take the Humansdorp/Hankey exit and turn right. 3. Continue through Main Street in Humansdorp to the end of the road. 4. Turn left onto the R330 and follow the signs to St Francis Bay. 5. Cross the Kromme River and continue straight through the traffic circle (roundabout). 6. Do not turn into St Francis Bay village. 7. Continue for approximately 800 m, then turn right at the Dune Ridge signboard. 8. Follow the paved road for 1.5 km until you reach the large black gate with the Dune Ridge signboard. 9. Call the reception number to have the gate opened. 10. Follow the signs to reception.
