Dream a Little  -  The apartment is situated in the exclusive suburb of Froggy Farm, Simon's Town, South Africa and offers outstanding views over Cape Town's False Bay.

We have breath taking sunrises and at night the lights of Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, Muizenberg and Gordons Bay twinkle like candles across Simon's Bay.  In season you can be lucky enough to be lying in bed watching a whale breach.  Whale spotting boat trips are available from Simon's Town Harbour.  Other times we see the dolphins go past and we have seen an occasional seal on the beach.

The famous Boulders Beach where you can swim with penguins is within walking distance as are several other safe and beautiful beaches Fisherman's beach is a mere 200 m walk.  Windmill beach 350 m away, has shallow waters sheltered by big boulders, is like a swimming pool and a favourite with young families.

The Cape Point Nature Reserve is a 30 min scenic drive away.  Once at Cape Point, take a funicular up to the Lighthouse and enjoy the amazing view of both the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans.

Accommodation at Dream a Little:
The main bedroom is very spacious.  It has a king size bed. In winter w have a down duvet and an electric blanket to keep you warm and cosy.  In summer there is an overhead ceiling fan.  There is ample cupboard space, and a table and chairs to sit and look out at the amazing view.

There is a double bed in the lounge behind the television unit for extra accommodation.

The apartment is serviced and fresh bed linen and towels are supplied weekly or before each new arrival.

Activities:

There is a variety of beautiful beaches to choose from and explore Fisherman's beach is a 2 min walk away, Windmill beach, Foxy beach, Boulders penguin beach (a national heritage site), Waters Edge beach and Seaforth beach are all within walking distance.  Long beach, Simon's Town is 4 km away.  Fish Hoek beach is a 10 min drive away and the surfers at the beautiful Muizenberg beach are 15 mins away.

Whale watching in season - September to November, the Southern Right Whales come to our warm waters on their annual migration.  In season whale spotting boat trips are available from the Simon's Town Harbour.

Penguin viewing at Boulders Beach National Park.  (Note: There is an entrance fee).  One can walk along the boardwalk and see the penguins for no charge.

There are excellent restaurants and coffee shops in Simon's Town Centre 4 km away- namely the Lighthouse Cafe, Saveur Restaurant, Bertha's which overlooks the Yacht Club and Navy Harbour, The Salty Seadog next door to Bertha's (famous for fresh fish), Cafe Pescados (best pizza in town) opposite Jubilee square.  In the new Harbour Bay Centre the restaurants there are Sav Cafe, The Raj, One-three-six- and the Cattle Baron.  Try the waffles at I Love Waffles for a decadent treat.

The Simon's Town Country Club (which welcomes visitors) with Squash, Golf and Bowls, is 800 m away.  Shark Cage Diving, Boat trips to Seal Island, Kayaking excursions to see the penguins are all available from the Simon's Town Harbour, Scuba diving is available at the Pisces diving centre near the Train Station and why not take a ride when Steaming Jenny is in town- one of only a handful working Steam Locomotives left in the world.  Simon's Town itself has attractions such as the Simon's Town Naval Museum - take a guided tour of a submarine, there is a cultural museum and a toy museum.  Kids will enjoy the Scratch Patch gemstone collection on the outskirts of town.  There are also numerous Bric a Brac, Art and Crafts, Clothing and Souvenir Shops in the quaint village.

Other places of interest to visit:  Go see the seals at Kalk Bay Harbour waiting for the scraps from the Fishermen's boats.  The magnificent Kirstenbosh Botanical Gardens is a 30 min drive away, take a cable car up Table Mountain (One of the seven wonders of the world), or take a trip from the Victoria and Albert Waterfront to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated.  The Wine Farms in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek are all a comfortable day excursion.  In August to October, a trip a little further afield, (but well worth it) up the West Coast to see the Wild Flowers (Fynbos) in bloom.  You will see fields and fields of a magnificent display of Namaqualand Daisies.
