Dieu-Donnee River Lodge comprises seven luxury en-suite rooms in a stylish contemporary house and is perfectly situated on the R102, 7 km north of Port Shepstone.

Autumn
Autumn on the KZN South Coast occurs from mid March to May. The temperature varies between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. This is the best time to plan your holiday or fishing trip. Winter
Winter on the KZN South Coast runs from June to mid August. Mornings are crispy cool with night temperature seldom lower than 12 degrees Celsius. Pleasant sunny days with virtually no wind or rain offers fantastic warmish days with temperatures up to 24 degrees Celsius. Most nights you will be swept away by the clear starlit skies, the stress-free environment and where you will experience nothing but peace,and tranquillity. And thenâ?¦ there is the Sardine run! Between June and July every winter, crowds of frenzied human predators converge on the area to join sharks, game fish, marine mammals and cape gannets in a feeding orgy. A truly phenomenal site to behold.

Spring
Spring from mid August to mid October, our sleepy ever green coastal forest suddenly comes alive with vibrant natural splendor. Still on the cool side for locals the temperature varies from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
This is also a windy time of the year, but excellent to visit and explore a diversity of attractions and activities which will make this destination an unforgettable experience.

From King Shaka International Airport: 1. Exit the Airport. Depart from King Shaka International Airport and follow signs to merge onto the N2 South highway toward Durban. 2. Continue on N2 South. Stay on the N2 South, passing through the Mount Edgecombe Interchange and continuing past Durban. 3. Proceed Toward Port Shepstone. Remain on the N2 South, following signs for Port Shepstone. 4. Take the Hibberdene Off-Ramp. Exit the N2 at the Hibberdene off-ramp. 5. Merge onto R102. After exiting, merge onto the R102 and continue for approximately 17 km. 6. Arrive in Southport. Look for Umhlangamkulu Drive on your right; Dieu Donnee River Lodge is located along this road in Southport.
