From Cape Town International Airport:
1. Exit the airport and follow signs for N2 (Somerset).Merge onto N2
highway.
2. From N2 to N1 via R300, Stay on N2 for about 6 km.
3. Take Exit 22A for R300 North toward Bellville.
4. Merge onto R300, then follow signs for N1 toward Paarl/Worcester.
5. Merge onto N1 and continue for about 83 km (this is a toll road).
6. From N1 to R60 and R62, Exit the N1 at Roux Rd, head through
Worcester:
7. Follow Roux Rd, Riebeeck St, and High St.
8. Turn right onto Robertson Rd (R60).
9. Continue on R60 for about 63 km (through Robertson and Ashton).
10. Stay straight onto R62 and continue for about 85 km.
11. Drive through the town of Barrydale towards Ladismith.
12. About 15kms past Barrydale you will see a sign with “Makouvlei” and
flag poles on your right.
13. Turn right onto the dirt road at the “Makouvlei” sign.
14. Continue on this dirt road for approx. 2kms. (On this dirt road
you will pass “Be Free” & an olive farm called “Altevrede” on your
right).
15. Continue straight - you will cross a low bridge.
16. Thereafter you will go through a farm gate with a labourer’s
cottage on the right. It seems like the road splits but stick to the
road going towards the right and go over the small hill.
17. When you get on the other side of the hill you will see 2 roads
leading off the gravel road. One going towards the right through a
stonewall gate & the other to the left.
18. Take the sharp turn on the road to the left & this will lead
you straight to the house.
19. Once through the farm entrance gate, turn left to park undercover
or keep right for easier unpacking.
