Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate is an 18-hole championship golf course, working wine farm and hotel offering upmarket accommodation and conferencing/event opportunities surrounded by vineyards, birdlife and plenty of flora.

The hotel has various types of accommodation to suit all your needs, including suites, hotel-style rooms and holiday homes. Ground-floor suites lead out onto the garden/pool area, while the first-floor units have balconies. These units consist of a kitchenette, a lounge/dining area with air-conditioning, bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. There are portable braai/BBQ facilities available for guests to use. The hotel rooms each contain an en-suite bathroom and are ideal for travellers who need a room to relax and sleep in. All rooms have tea/coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi access, a bar fridge, and a TV with selected satellite channels.
Our holiday homes are all double-storey and have 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms upstairs. The houses are set up for long- and short-term stays and have patios on both sides of the house. Each bedroom upstairs has a balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking facilities, including a dishwasher and a washing machine.

The beautiful little town of Stellenbosch, roughly an hour from Cape Town, lies surrounded by the Stellenbosch Mountains in the Jonkershoek River Valley in one of the most picturesque settings in the Cape. The second oldest town in South Africa has fondly been called ‘Eikestad’ or city of oaks, and its streets are lined with some of the most beautiful surviving examples of Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian architecture in the Cape. Dorp Street is a national monument, and taking the time to walk around this cosy old part of Stellenbosch, with its secluded lanes, water furrows, cosmopolitan restaurants and coffee bistros, with superb views of the mountain, vineyards and orchards, is an idyllic morning venture.
- A variety of hiking trails are available through the scenic vineyards and mountains. These can also include wine tasting and lunch.
- Bicycles and mountain bikes can be hired on a daily basis at the tourist information center.
- You can lounge around the pool all day or relax after a day at the golf course.
Each holiday house comprises 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with an en-suite bathroom. Each home has a spacious living area downstairs, a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, and a private patio.
Each suite has 1 bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Each suite features a lounge, dining, and a kitchenette area. Only 1 extra bed in the lounge is possible, on request. Each unit contains air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a TV for media entertainment.
These rooms are furnished with a queen-size bed and feature an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Each unit contains air-conditioning, a TV with 23 selected satellite channels, tea/coffee, and views of the garden/estate/pool. No possibility of an extra bed.
Each suite comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan lounge/dining area, and a kitchenette. Each unit contains air-conditioning, and twin beds are available on request. Only 1 extra bed in the lounge is possible.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 999 days before arrival, forfeit 10% of the booking total.
* All rooms are non-smoking.
* Check-in time is at 15h00 and check-out is at 11h00.
* Upon arrival, full surety is required upon check-in by providing positive photo identification and signed credit card authorisation. At the security gate, you will be required to present your driver’s licence identification, and biometrics will be taken.
* Please send us your preferred cell details to receive directions and welcome messages.
* Inform us before your arrival if you would like to have twin or king-size beds to avoid any disappointment.
Cancellation:
* 31 days (1 month) before check-in, 100% deposit refunded.
* A minimum 50% deposit is required to secure any reservations, with settlement on arrival.
* Cancellations have to be in writing.
* A 10% handling fee will be charged for any refunds.
* Any refunds will be at the discretion of management, and the decision will be final.
* A group cancellation and confirmation policy will be required for 5 nights or 5 rooms and more.
* “No Shows” will be liable for the full cost of the entire stay.
* Guests will be liable for any changes to a reservation within 30 days of arrival.
Confirmation:
* All reservations will only be confirmed with a 50% deposit.
* If via bank card, the name of the cardholder and the name of the reservation have to be the same.
* Any card transaction requires positive identification.
* Any manual transaction requires a bank card authorisation form with positive identification.
* EFT, bank transfers will only be expected 3 working days before arrival
* EFT bank transfers will only be confirmed by accounts and POP; proof of payment is not considered a guarantee.
* All bookings made within 72 hours prior to arrival will only be guaranteed with the completed credit card authorisation from the cardholder for 100% manual payment.
* With pre-approval from the hotel manager, on-arrival payments could be taken.
On Arrival:
* Check-in time is 15h00. Arrangements need to be made with the reception for arrival after 20h00.
* Early arrivals are available subject to availability and could be secured with an additional charge.
* The names on the reservations have to match the credit card and ID presented by the person who is checking in.
* The outstanding payment needs to be settled upon arrival, and all other incidentals are to be settled upon departure.
* Full surety is required by any person checking in at the hotel by means of bank card details provided, and a signature for surety on the bottom of the registration cards.
* By signing the registration card and expecting room keys, the guest acknowledges and agrees to the hotel’s House Rules.
* All card transactions will require positive identification by means of ID, driver’s licence or passport.
* Only the person in whose name the reservation is will be allowed to check in and receive the room keys
* In case a different person is checking in because they are sharing the room, written confirmation would be needed from the person who secured the reservation.
* If a different person checks in, a new reservation must be made with positive identification, and full payment will be required.
From Cape Town International Airport:
1. Use the right lane to merge onto Airport Approach Rd and drive 190 m.
2. Use the middle lane to stay on Airport Approach Rd and drive 1.2 km.
3. Use the left lane to merge onto Settlers Way/N2 via the ramp to Somerset and drive 6.0 km.
4. Take exit 22A towards the R300/Bellville and drive 1.5 km.
5. Merge onto Kuils River Rd/R300 and drive 9.0 km.
6. Take exit 25 for R102 towards the Kuilsrivier/Van Riebeeck Rd/Bellville and drive 600 m.
7. Use the middle lane to turn left onto Strand Rd/R102 and drive 280 m.
8. Turn right onto La Belle Rd/M31 and drive 650 m.
9. Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Bottelary Rd/M23 and drive 13.7 km.
10. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Blumberg Dr and drive 500 m.
11. Turn right into the entrance of Devonvale Golf Estate where your destination will be at Bottelary Road, Koelenhof, Stellenbosch.
