This is our Reception, Bar and Restaurant and has two rooms attached.
This Room is in one of the first homesteads built in this area. It has a beautiful four poster bed, one bathroom with your normal shower loo and hand basin and another bathroom with a luxurious spa bath. Used as our Bridal Suite.
This room situated in the old homestead has two queen beds in the main area and there are two bunks situated in the passage. This room has two bathrooms - one with a bath and the other with a shower.
This is the outside of Hilltop House. We refurbished in the era it was built by adding the black and white tiles.
This is in the 'Middle house' and features a small self catering kitchenette with a two plate stove and a microwave.
De Charmoy Estate Guest house is Set set on almost 5 acres of tropical gardens and is only 5 km from King Shaka International Airport. The estate offers spacious rooms, each with their own private entrances. Featuring bespoke wooden furnishing, the air-conditioned rooms offer a classic decor with modern accesses where you can enjoy watching limited bouquet DSTV or a hot cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
For the more adventurous, the outdoor facilities include swimming pools, a heated Jacuzzi as well as beautiful gardens to meander in. Visit the first and only Chocolate Garden in Africa for a drink and / or a meal. We have a small playground area for children in The Chocolate Garden as well as a small animal park featuring 3 Giant Tortoises visiting all the way from Seychelles, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks and geese.
Visit Sugar & Spice Spa for a wonderful relaxing massage - include a jacuzzi and/or a sauna with your Spa Package. Please enquire at the Front Desk for any appointments you wish to make.
Our conference venue is set in a tranquil garden with views of the valley and can accommodate up to 15 delegates. Meals are served in our outdoor Boma area. A delicious full English Breakfast is provided daily and the staff will prepare dinner on request(provided the request is placed prior to 2 pm). Guests can also make use of the estate`s barbecuing facilities at a minimal charge.
An airport shuttle to King Shaka International Airport in Durban, 5 km away, can also be arranged at an extra charge.
Umhlanga Rocks and Umdloti Beach are both a 15 minute drive away. We are 8 minutes away from King Shaka International Airport and 25 minutes away from Durban`s city center.
Birthday parties, weddings, engagements, christenings, baby showers, kitchen teas and bachelor parties are also part of our wide variety of facilities.
Accommodation at De Charmoy Estate: All our rooms are unique and all but two of the rooms have been custom built to suit the room. The rooms have been decorated in a simple pleasing style always thinking of our Client`s comfort. We offer a home away from home ethos and invite you to enjoy your very comfortable beds. Each room has its own private entrance with all the amenities.
Accommodation is also ideal for rehabilitation as we are 10 minutes away from Umhlanga Hospital. Our large garden and tropical atmosphere are ideal for this purpose.
Our Rooms are a comfortable size. We took three homes and created rooms in each house and have furnished them in a simple style using quality linens. Each room opens out onto a veranda or a garden where you can enjoy the landscaped gardens. All our rooms are non smoking. All our rooms have a small fridge as well as a tea and coffee station.

- Failure of the customer to arrive, or cancellations made 0 to 14 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 100% of the deposit. - Cancellations made 15 to 28 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 75% of the deposit or 25% of the booking quote value, whichever the greater. - Cancellations made 29 days or more prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 50% of the deposit or 25% of the booking total, whichever is the greater.
