Chandelier Game Lodge Activities:
Chandelier hosts a large population of antelope such as Sable Antelope, Lechwe, Waterbuck, Bontebok, Kudu – 23 species in total - as well as giraffes. If you are lucky, you may spot the elusive black backed jackal or even catch a glimpse of the rare, indigenous leopard.
Chandelier consists of 3500 ha of succulent Karoo, river bush veldt and Cape “fynbos”. The 122km of “land rover tracks” make game viewing safaris on Chandelier an unforgettable experience. Come real close to the animals on either the quad bikes or on foot.
A perfect ending to an unforgettable day at Chandelier is the popular “sundowner tours”. Guests are transported to our lapa (shelter) high up in the mountains on open land rovers. At the lapa we spoil our guests with sundowners, while they adore the unique sunset over the Swartberg mountains.
The unspoilt area attracts many species like the African Fish Eagle, Secretary Bird, Martial Eagle, Black Eagle and Blue Crane. The Klip River runs though Chandelier for more than 8 km and offers a home to various water species.
Community Craft Centre
The Craft Centre is open to the public and guests are invited to try their hand on the painting themselves. The Centre has been changed into a Black Empowerment Project to create employment. The products of the Craft Centre are for sale at our Curio Shop.

This was the most amazing experience that we ever had. The staff, Game drive, Khoi San information session and the Ostrich information, everything was just out of this world. Chandelier Game Lodge is breath taking and me and my partner had te time of our life. A big thank you to each and every staff member! You guys and dolls rock!! Regards Freliza and Richard

Great place to stay. They gave the best ostrich farm tour I have ever attended. The staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable.

Lovely, comfortable tented chalet. Supper was brought to the tent in the evening - tasty (though the ostrich kebabs were rather tough unfortunately). Very interesting 'ostrich tour' for which, as 'residents', we were not charged. A very pleasant place to stay.
