The CedarWoods of Sandton Hotel boasts 50 newly renovated Bedrooms in townhouse style apartments, ranging from Single for the individual traveler, to Superior Deluxe accommodating the most discerning businessman.  All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have a view of our country styled, well-manicured and tranquil gardens.  Free Wifi is offered to all of our guests and there is a business centre for your convenience.

The Hotel is ideally positioned for the business and leisure traveler, being close to Sandton and close to the M1 highway to Johannesburg and Pretoria.  The Hotel is located within walking distance to Sage, Softline Pastel, Woodmead, Harrowdene and Woodlands Office Park.  We also have an arrangement with a nearby Gym for those who want to keep fit.

CedarWoods of Sandton is a privately owned 3-star establishment in Woodmead, Johannesburg, the Greater Sandton District.  Run on a family-style basis, some of our Friendly Staff have been part of the managerial team for over 17 years, and a large number of our clients have built long standing relationships that have lasted for many years.

The Hotel, previously known as Cedar Park Hotel and Conference Centre, has been operating and host to both Hotel and Conference guests under the guidance of Bermudian-born Randy Moniez for the past 12 years.  Randy has over 44 years of Hospitality experience internationally and locally, having worked in establishments such as The Princess Hotel, Bermuda; The Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne Switzerland; Holiday Inns South Africa; and the Balalaika Hotel and Crown Court Sandton as General Manager, in the spellbound continent of Africa.

CedarWoods of Sandton is not only a Home from Home, Friendly, Hospitable Environment, but proud to become increasingly more environmentally friendly with our Green Policy.  We not only concentrate on recycling, composting, and reducing our carbon foot print, but we select Products and Services taking into consideration their impact on the environment.  Training staff in more environmentally friendly practices both at work and at home as well as encouraging our guests to be increasingly more conscious of the need for action to secure our environment for the future has become a progressive process.

The Growth and Development of the Hotel over the past years has not only benefited the growth and development of local Staff employed by the Company and their families but the Local Community as well. It is part of our Mission Statement that we seek out and actively recruit and train previously disadvantaged citizens from the local area in aspects of Hospitality.  In addition and in keeping with the spirit of Ubuntu, we are proud to be a supportive BEE compliant establishment.

In 2014 it was decided to rename and rebrand Cedar Park to CedarWoods of Sandton, to better convey the ethos of the establishment and staff.

CedarWoods has officially been rated as a Level 2 Contributor on the relevant BBBEE Small Business Scorecard.

Modern:
The Modern Single rooms are perfect for the individual traveller and offer cosy open-plan rooms with a Double Bed, vinyl flooring and an open-plan bathroom with a shower. Our comfortable Bedrooms have Free uncapped Wifi as well as DSTV and Tea and Coffee Making Facilities. Some of these rooms may be situated on the first floor and are accessible by stairs only. Due to the open plan nature of the rooms, we only allow single travellers to occupy the room. In room Fridges can be available but are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

King Leisure:
Designed to provide a cosy setting amidst the bustling city, these rooms offer the perfect sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation. Each King Leisure Room features a king-size bed, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and an en-suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, allowing you to unwind in style after a day of exploring or business meetings.

Country Style:
Indulge in comfort and sophistication amidst the tranquil ambience of Cedarwoods of Sandton’s Country Style Rooms. These large and spacious Rooms have access to either a Private Balcony upstairs, or direct garden access downstairs, newly renovated en-suite bathrooms boast a sizable walk in shower and luxurious amenities. The Country Style Rooms are perfect for sharing and Beds can be split into Twin (3 quarter) beds.

Superior Deluxe:
Our Most spacious rooms, with sleeper couches and separate lounge area, our Deluxe Rooms are designed to be your home away from home. Easily reconfigured to have separate Beds, or keep them together for King Size luxury, these rooms have front and back access directly into our Tranquil Gardens, and are all located on the Ground floor.
