Bundox Explorer Camp is an eco-luxury tented camp that promotes a low-impact, immersive safari experience in the Greater Kruger Park. Located in the Balule Private Nature Reserve, this Big Five private concession is where guests will enjoy game drives through rugged Lowveld terrain and along the Olifants River.
The boma is a truly South African experience, where the focus is on laughter, listening to the sounds of the wild, and watching the fire crackle into the night. Don’t be surprised if you hear the whoop of hyenas, the lion’s contact calling, and the gentle sounds of nature while you’re relaxing in your room at night.

So what should you pack?
Light, cotton clothing in light tones, Long Sleeved Shirt and Trousers, A Lightweight Waterproof Jacket, A Good Pair of Trainers or Hiking Shoes, A Wide Brimmed Hat.
Sunscreen - Choose a sunscreen with a high SPF or sun protection factor of between 30 and 50. Do not underestimate the power of the African sunshine - the last thing you want on holiday is a bas sunburn or sunstroke.

annual temperature is 21.2 °C | 70.2 °F in Hoedspruit. In a year, the
rainfall is 450 mm | 17.7 inch.
February is the warmest month of the year. The temperature in February
averages 24.4 °C | 75.9 °F. The lowest average temperatures in the year
occur in July, when it is around 16.2 °C | 61.2 °F
There are four cottage-style, free-standing tents, each containing an en-suite bathroom with flushing toilets, cold tap showers, and bucket showers are filled on demand with hot water. The main area is in a prime position with a panoramic view of the bush and offers the perfect refreshment during summer.

*Follow the N4 towards Nelspruit.
* Take the Belfast off-ramp and drive through Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg, and Ohrigstad.
* Make your way over the Abel Erasmus Pass.
*Drive through the Strydom Tunnel and on to Hoedspruit.
*At Hoedspruit, turn left at the second 4-way stop onto the R40 towards Phalaborwa.
* Approximately 17km further on, turn right into the Olifants West gate
* This is the entrance to the Bundox Explorer Camp.
* A guide will meet you at the gate where you will park your car. NB: A conservation levy fee is payable at the gate.
