Situated on a 3500 ha game reserve located between Mossel Bay and George, and set in amongst spectacular mountain ranges, the child-friendly (children aged 6 years and over are welcome) and malaria-free Botlierskop Private Game Reserve offers an immense diversity of wildlife and activities.
This is coupled with luxurious, tented accommodation in beautifully appointed private suites discreetly positioned along the riverbank. Manor house suites also available in the newly renovated old Farmhouse.
The reserve comprises of over 26 different species of animals and more than 200 bird species. Wildlife at the reserve includes the rare Black Impala, Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Mountain Zebra, Eland and Lions (in a separate enclosure).
Activities guests can enjoy includes, Horseback safaris, 3 hour Guided Game Drives, Guided Bush Walks and Spa Treatments. Day visitors are welcome at our Bishop Safari lodge to do any of above activities.
At Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, tented lodge, each of the 15 luxury tented and air-conditioned suites are elegantly adorned in a romantic colonial theme with 4-poster beds draped in mosquito nets. The en-suite facilities are lavishly equipped with deep baths, open-air showers and stunning panoramas. The newly renovated 4 suites air-conditioned Manor House on the reserve are located in the original old farm house, dating back to the mid 1800s, with views of the plains of Botlierskop and is located close to the Botlierskop Tented lodge.
The pool with its breathtaking views of the valley below is balm for the soul and wonderfully relaxing. The large open-air deck, with itsunobstructed valley vista, seamlessly integrates the unique fauna and flora of the area with soothing African bush ambiance in the distance.
The Spa situated on the riverbank surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery consists of two treatment rooms named Fauna and flora. The interior matches the exterior, bringing nature indoor but with a touch of elegance and comfort. The Luxury tented suites on private wooden decks with breathtaking views of the river from a distance and mountainous surroundings. The tented suites are elegantly decorated in colonial style with 4-poster beds and mosquito nets, fully equipped with mini bar, coffee & tea facilities, telephone and a safe. The en-suite bathroom is lavishly equipped with deep oval baths and outdoor showers.
Deluxe Tented Suites
The Deluxe suites are similar to the luxury but are located on the river front overlooking the river.
Executive Suite
The Executive tented suite is spacious with a separate large lounge area and is elegantly decorated in colonial style with 4-poster beds and mosquito nets. These are walking distance from the river, with stunning views of the mountainous surroundings. The suite are fully equipped with a mini bar, coffee & tea facilities, telephone and a safe. The en-suite bathroom is lavishly equipped with deep oval bath and outdoor shower. You can also relax next to your own private splash pool. Perfect for a honeymoon!
Family Suite
The Executive tented suite is spacious with a separate large lounge area and is elegantly decorated in colonial style with 4-poster beds and mosquito nets. These are walking distance from the river, with stunning views of the mountainous surroundings. The suite is fully equipped with a mini bar, coffee & tea facilities, telephone and a safe. The en-suite bathroom is lavishly equipped with deep oval bath and outdoor shower. The lounge area is equipped with sleeper couches to accommodate children.

Manor House Suites
2 luxury suite, 1 Executive and 1 Family suite with 3 suites with connection doors are elegantly decorated in a contemporary country-style with mosquito nets and a small lounge area. It is fully equipped with mini bar, coffee & tea making facilities, telephone, televisions, DSTV with selected Movie Magic & sport channels, DVD player, safe, electrical blanket, heater/air-con, guest amenities, bath robes, slippers and en-suite bathroom with shower only. The patio is overlooking the plains of Botlierskop with good chance of viewing game during the late afternoon.
Day visitors or overnight guests can enjoy the following activities:
