Bloubergstrand is primarily a residential suburb and attracts large numbers of visitors, both locals and international. Much of Bloubergstrand’s attraction lies in its white sandy beach, from which the view of the iconic Table Mountain and the city of Cape Town is quite spectacular. Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, can also be seen quite clearly from the beach at Bloubergstrand.
