Blommenberg Guest House is a modern-Victorian building situated in a quiet position on the outskirts of Clanwilliam.

Clanwilliam is a quiet little town dating back to the early seventeen hundreds.It is situated 230 km north of Cape Town on the N7,which is also the main route to Namibia.

The dramatically beautiful Cederberg is to the East and Lamberts Bay, famous for its seafood and bird island,only 60 km to the West.

A generous breakfast is included in our rates.Dinner for groups is available on request.Meals are served in our airy dining room where the ambiance is enhanced by a collection of antique furniture and collectables.We speak:English,Afrikaans,Dutch,French and German

Rooms
There are twelve en-suite rooms, all spacious and airy.Eight overlook our lush garden-courtyard and swimming pool and four rooms are fully equipped for self-catering and recently renovated.

Two of these rooms are Family Rooms.The Family rooms have a double bed and two bunk beds, situated in such a way that there is the maximum amount of privacy.

The Courtyard Rooms have two single beds or queen size beds,all rooms have mini-bars,television with M-net,coffee and tea making facilities, air conditioning and heating.Some of the rooms have desks.

Two of the Self-Catering Rooms have double beds and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has lots of space as well as an air extractor.The rooms are situated on the front veranda with a view of the Cederberg. There is a garden with braai facilities.

Shady off-street parking bays are available.

Activities
Every April/May Clanwilliam hosts the Cederberg Festival - an arts and cultural event -which attracts more and more visitors every year.

During August and September the Wild Flower Show is held in the historic Flower Church to coincide with the spring flower season.

Rooibos tea(Red Tea) is endemic to the area and a visit to the Rooibos factory or a tea plantation is a must.

Clanwilliam is a nature lovers paradise offering scenic hikes.

Bird watchers are afforded the opportunity of seeing many of the species endemic to the fynbos and Karoo vegetation.

The Clanwilliam Dam and Bulshoek Dam offer some of the best opportunities for water-sport and bass fishing.

Health and Climate:

Clanwilliam has dry summers and winter rains. December to February can be hot and not suitable for hiking.

Directions:

Clanwilliam is about 230 km from Cape Town.
From the N7, turn off at Clanwilliam.
After about 2.5 km you will see Blommenberg Guest House on your right - 1 Graafwater Road.
