Beside Still Waters was successfully taken off the grid with the installation of solar power, thus the lights always stay on. In the unusual event of an emergency, we can supplement our electricity supply with a generator. Our water source is from harvesting rain water and a borehole. We request our guests to support us in our endeavour to be an environmentally friendly establishment. We try leaving a lighter footprint on our planet through solar power, recycling, composting and water conservation. This locations is ideal for visitors to explore and experience nature, rich bird life and enjoy the outdoors.

In Room Facilities:
The self-catering units will delight our visitors. The options include a two bed-roomed cottage, a cosy loft and a three bed-roomed attic apartment (Upper Room). Quality bed linen and towels are provided and Wi-Fi Internet is available. All units have fully equipped kitchenettes, barbeque areas, secure parking and stunning views. For special B and B occasions we have two lovely double bedrooms in the Main House both with en-suite bathrooms and private entrance.

Establishment Facilities:
Our eco-friendly establishment has three very comfortable self catering units and two elegant ensuite Bed and Breakfast rooms situated in a large, leafy garden, against a backdrop of undisturbed indigenous bush where children of all ages can play freely.

Lying in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains in a region of incomparable beauty, Wilderness is an attractive holiday destination with beautiful beaches and numerous vantage points from which to watch the whales and dolphins. Visitors can enjoy activities such as forest walks, hiking, bird watching and mountain biking, to name but a few.

If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.

Directions:

Travel on N2 Cape Town to Knysna, Pass Wilderness, turn left at The Vleie turn-off, travel to a T-junction, turn right and travel 1km to Beside Still Waters on Left.
