Athenian Villa set in a side lane, off the main road, one can lose sight of the little town of Caledon, and imagine oneself in Mykonos or Santorini, the setting is so authentic.

The courtyard is cobblestone, and cascading with overgrown plants and flowers, making it an ideal place for breakfast or a braai.  It also boasts a plunge pool to lend to the relaxed atmosphere.

The building itself has a grand history, being one of the first in the town of Caledon, and the fade, which is a national monument, overlooks Donkin Street.

There above, is a huge balcony where one can spend lazy afternoons reading or sipping tea.  An ideal place for a weekend getaway.

Athenian Villa offers a new dinning room, secure underground parking, conference facilities and can accommodate groups of up to 16 people.  Please note that Athenian Villa has a flight of stairs leading to the rooms.

This is a quaint establishment with a lovely ambience and an authentic Greek feel to it. My room was spotless as was the dining room where a very tasty breakfast was served by Sarah, who also does the cleaning. Carol, the manager, is a charming and very interesting hostess, who is very friendly without being intrusive. She is very knowledgeable about the area and various eateries, and took great pains to ensure that I had a wonderful stay. I will definitely be back!
