Annie’s Cottage is a beautiful old manor house in Springbok, Namaqualand, at the foot of a rugged "koppie" where the first commercial mine in South Africa was started in 1852. Our Bed & Breakfast/Guesthouse is a 4 star accredited pension and Highly Commended in the 2011 AA Accommodation Awards and AA Quality Assured Superior. We offer excellent accommodation and hospitality, something the Afrikaner people are well known for.
When the old house was restored to its former colonial glory, ambiance and atmosphere was never forgotten and when modern comfort was added to its portfolio of assets the old world charm prevailed. Rest and enjoy our beautiful cool garden and swimming pool. Restaurants are between 200 - 600m walking distance.
We would love to accommodate you in one of our 11 luxury en suite rooms. Safe parking behind automated gates and electric fence. A cooked English breakfast, variety of cereals, fruits in season and bottomless coffee and juice are included. Cappuccino and espresso are available. Health & Climate:
As Springbok is quite high it often gets quite chilly, so make sure of warm clothes
for late afternoons and early morning.
Nice clean place, but quite busy with travelers, especially chaotic at breakfast, they don't seem to have enough tables for all the rooms!

Reception was handled smoothly, we were personally shown to the room. The room was good, albeit a bit over decorated, but that is personal taste. Advice as to restaurants and sights were given freely and found to be good. All equipment functioned well. The breakfasts were tasty and good and personal attendance of staff was also good.f was also good. Can be recommended.

Lovely rooms, professional service, friendly reception and wonderful cuisine (breakfast). Very good value for money. When next in Springbok, a stay-over at Annie's is definite.

Very comfortable and clean. One small problem, our room had a bathroom which was not completely enclosed from the bed / sitting room reducing privacy.
