Situated in the quaint seaside village of Hermanus, 120Km from Cape Town, we are a mere 150m from the famous cliff paths boasting the best land based whale watching in the world! Anchors Rest is a 1.8km stroll to the village centre, which you can do along the spectacular cliff paths, whilst viewing whales in season.
It lies between the historic Old Harbour (in the village) and the New Harbour and restaurants (within 10 minutes walking distance).

Our accommodation was carefully planned to offer guests either the option of Bed and Breakfast or Self catering or a bit of both! All the units are designed so as to offer guests maximum privacy, but we are here if you need us.
Accommodation is offered in 5 separate garden suites in beach house style dcor.

Accommodation
Seagulls (Sleeps 2)
We are powered through load shedding. From the garden / pool area is a private courtyard and a staircase leading up to the loft which has a mountain view. The stylish open plan lounge / kitchenette / bedroom has a queen size bed with ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin). There is a well stocked kitchenette with modern appliances, a cozy dining area, A private patio with a BBQ / Braai and stylish patio furniture.
Driftwood (Sleeps 4)
We are powered through load shedding. The cottage has a bedroom with a queen size bed and a shower bathroom. A separate open plan living / dining / kitchen area with a sofa bed (accommodating another 2 guests). The kitchenette is well stocked with modern appliances. French doors open to a private garden / patio area with stylish patio furniture and BBQ/Braai.
Pebbles (Sleeps 2)
Very popular secluded double room with its own entrance has a Queen size bed and en suite shower. French doors lead onto a pretty private patio area with barbeque facilities and patio furniture. There is a small kitchenette suitable for light self catering only with a microwave.
A health breakfast is an optional extra served on your own patio or in your room. Very popular with those on a budget.
(Driftwood and Pebbles are cleverly designed to become inter-leading, if required, making a 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroom cottage. If occupied separately, however, privacy is guaranteed as the entrances are distant from each other).
Starfish (Sleeps 2-4)
This family unit has a private entrance and enclosed patio with BBQ and patio furniture. A spacious open plan bedroom/living area has a Queen size bed and there is a separate small bedroom with 2 single beds off the main room. Full bathroom with bath & shower. A small kitchenette with under counter fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, suitable light self catering.
If cancelled within 28 days of arrival the deposit is non-refundable, 29 to 60 days 50% refunded, over 60 days 90% refunded.
Approaching Hermanus from Cape Town side, pass the Gateway Centre shopping mall and Total garage on your right.
Pass through the traffic lights and then take the 2nd street to the right - De Goede Street (also marked with Private Hospital sign and Harbour sign).
Travel down De Goede towards the sea and at the T Junction turn right into Wesctcliff Road.
We are number 90 on the right hand side immediately after the dog-leg bend.
