Amazian Mountain River Lodge

Amazian Mountain River Lodge is a privately owned lodge, situated in the Southern Drakensberg, near the uKhahlamba
World Heritage site.

Relax in one of our seven luxury honeymoon suites over looking Umzimkulu the river
Enjoy a spectacular view whilst having:
- a de-stress aromatherapy hot stone or crystal stone massage treatment,
- sipping champagne in our the hot water Onsens spa/Jacuzzi,
- working out in our open air gym,
- lounging at our pool,
- or detoxing in our steam room .

The lodge also hosts tea room are overlooking the Umzimkulu river, TV area, reading area, restaurant and more formal lounge area with a large fireplace. An outside deck area has the most magnificent views of the river and mountains.


The double rooms offer the luxury of two three quarter beds. All rooms are non-smoking.

All our rooms are equipped with the best in luxury - two armchairs and satelite tv, lockable safe and climate control. Our beds are of an orthopaedic design and offer the most luxury in sleeping comfort, with Down Duvets and Down Pillowcases.


Regrettably no children under 16
Our chef specialises in African fusion dishes making every meal a new gourmet discovery!


Dinner bookings are to be made at breakfast.
