Centrally situated, 200 m from the business centre, and via our back entrance, within walking distance to the mountain, the heritage route and Walter Battiss Art Gallery. You simply have to park your car and enjoy the sheer luxury of being within walking distance or short cycle to just about every venue in the village.
Our lavishly comfortable beds are sublime with feather and down duvets and spoiling continues with crip, white percale linen, complimentary coffee, rusks and thoughtful additions. Accommodation is just what we do. Since our ancestor Thomas Hartly established the well known "Pig and Whistle" at Bathurst in the Eastern Cape during the 1800`s, through to our Battiss family who run the Battiss hotel in Somerset East, we have provided accommodation from generation to generation, whether long or short term, or simply taken a traveller under our wing for the night.

This room is of stupendous proportions and if space does not intimidate you, you will love it. There is a queen size bed and two single beds perfect for the businessman or two to three people sharing comfortable during events or projects in the area.
Unit 2 : Executive Suite
En suite bedroom with double bed and air-conditioner. The kitchen is separate, perfect for longer stays.
Unit 3 : Garden Suite
En suite bedroom with double, a single bed and air-conditioner. There is a small fridge, microwave oven and coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Beautiful mountain views from the patio and perfect for overnight stays.
Unit 4 : Cottage
En suite bedroom with air-conditioner. Double bed and single bed for a child in the lounge. Kitchen is fully equipped.
Unit 5 : Family Suite
Two bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Large open plan kitchen and lounge. 1 Double bed and 2 single beds.
