Braai/bbq facilities are available at each cottage and the chalet.  Aarfontein Karoo Hoogland is situated 75 km from central Sutherland, and 70 km from Fraserburg.

* We do not offer a dedicated site for camping however you are welcome to park your campervan/rooftent/tent next to the unit when renting. At an additional cost of R150.00 per person per night to be arranged beforehand. Note: Campers then use the facilities provided on the inside.

* GLASSHOUSE: A 4x4 is required to reach the chalet.

From George Airport: 1. Head northwest toward Car rental returns for 240 meters (2 min). 2. Turn left onto R404 and continue for 7.6 kilometers. 3. Keep left to stay on Montagu St/R404, following R404 for an additional 2.0 kilometers. 4. Make a left onto N12/N9 and drive for 18.2 kilometers. 5. Turn left onto N12/R62 and continue for 31.6 kilometers. 6. Turn right at Onverwacht Cres, covering a distance of 1.1 kilometers. 7. Take a left turn and proceed for 7.5 kilometers. 8. Turn right onto N12 and drive for 55.0 kilometers. 9. Make a left turn onto R407, continuing for 91.3 kilometers. 10. Turn right onto N1 and go 450 meters. 11. Take a left turn and drive for 42.1 kilometers. 12. Continue onto Voortrekker St for 1.1 kilometers. 13. Turn left onto Dominee Pienaar St and cover 400 meters. 14. Make a left turn and drive for 36.6 kilometers. 15. Turn right and continue for 12.1 kilometers. 16. Turn right once more and proceed for 13.9 kilometers. 17. Finally, make a slight right and drive for 4.2 kilometers to reach your destination. Destination will be in front of you at Aarfontein Karoo Hoogland Aarfontein Farm, Fraserburg, 6960.
