Welcome to A Family and Friends Guest House. Let us make this your home away from home away from home. We will make you comfortable in sunny Durban. We are within walking distance from 4 shopping centres (1 km radius) and a 3 minute drive to local beaches but a walk to the beach is not for the faint hearted (2.2 km).
Our Guest house was Established in 2007 and we take pride in being a 3 star graded establishment since 2008. We are registered with both our local tourism committees Sodurba and DBAA as well as being a level 4 BEEE. We are also registered with the KZN Tourism counsel and DEDT.
Our Guest House caters for families or groups as big as 30 sharing. We also take pride in catering for business big or small. Our facility caters for self-catering or we do cater for meals on request. We have free WIFI and braai facilities for our guests as well as parking inside the property with CCTV Cameras.
Accommodation at A Family and Friends Guest House:
Our guesthouse has a sparkling splash pool, a sundeck with sea and golf course views and a separate braai area for each suite. Our facility is 3 star graded by the Tourism Council of SA. There is secure parking for 2 cars per suite and 3 suites are separate from the main dwelling.
The suites have been beautifully finished with fully tiled floors and oak cupboards. Suites have television and DVD player (a collection of over 350 DVDs are available at no extra cost for those rainy days), with DSTV and air-conditioner, fridge, microwave, kettle, glasses, cups, plates, knives, forks, spoons, and an iron and ironing board, back rooms have DVD player with DSTV and air-conditioner, linen provided and rooms are serviced accordingly.
We do not allow cooking in the rooms but do have separate kitchen for cooking use, breakfast, dinner or lunch packs are made on request.
Room Description:
Suite 1: 8-10 sleeper suite. Main bedroom has a queen bed, single bed and a double sleeper couch. 2nd bedroom has a Tri-bunk, queen size and full bathroom on suite separate from both rooms as well as an outside toilet and shower facility.
Suite 2: 6-8 sleeper suite. Main bedroom has a queen bed and a double sleeper couch. 2nd bedroom has a tri-bunk and a single bed, full bathroom on suite separate from both rooms.
Suite 3: 6-8 sleeper suite. Main bedroom has a queen bed and a double sleeper couch. 2nd bedroom has a tri-bunk and a single bed, full bathroom on suite separate from both rooms.
Suite 4: Honey moon suite. One main bedroom has a queen bed and 2 single beds with shower on suite.

- Fax/Scanner, Photocopy machine, Sundeck with full DSTV (HD) with seating for 25 guests.

8 - 10 Sleeper: Main bedroom - queen bed, single bed and a double sleeper couch. 2nd bedroom - Tri bunk, queen size bed and full bathroom on suite separate entrance from both rooms. TV & DVD player, DSTV, aircon, fridge, microwave and all eating utensils.
6 - 8 Sleeper suites: Main bedroom has a queen bed, and a double sleeper couch. 2nd bedroom has a Tri bunk and 1 single bed, full bathroom on suite separate entrance from both rooms, TV & DVD player, DSTV, aircon, fridge, microwave and all eating utensils.
