138 Marine Beachfront Guesthouse has been awarded the prestigious Welcome Award by South African Tourism for the Guesthouse/B&B/Country house with the Best Service in South Africa (2010/2011). It is an elegant, upmarket guesthouse with spectacular sea front views, and one of the few Guesthouses in the Hermanus area which is situated right at the beachfront.
No attention to detail have been spared in the superbly stylish decor. The luxurious designer suites are individually fitted with all modern comforts.
Spend lazy, sun-filled afternoons on the spacious terrace with panoramic views of the ocean and the mountains. The extensive breakfast menu changes daily. On request, a picnic can be provided to enjoy on the beach in front of the guest house, and on-site wellness therapies can be arranged.

138 Marine Guesthouse is an enchanting base from which to explore one of the worlds most magnificent eco-destinations with whale watching from land or boat, great white shark cage viewing and diving from Gansbaai, mountain and fynbos walks in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, dune horse riding, quad-biking amongst the vineyards, or visiting the penguin colony and Harold Porter Botanical Gardens at nearby Bettys Bay.
A little further afield and easy day trips include wine tasting at the many wineries in the area, 4X4 driving trails, the southernmost tip of Africa at Cape Agulhas, the caves and beach at De Kelders, the Mission station at Elim, the picturesque Kassiesbaai fishermans village at Arniston and the historic Greyton and Genadendal rural villages.

Less than 14 days prior to arrival date: 50% of full accommodation fee.
Less than 7 days prior to arrival date: 100% of full accommodation fee.
All rates quoted are per person per night sharing (all inclusive), and include the scrumptious breakfast. A 50% supplement is applicable for a single person.
Three adults can be accommodated in the Oyster and Seastar Rooms (3rd adult pays 50% of adult rate)
No children under 12 are allowed upstairs in the Abalone, Coral, Periwinkle or Oyster Room
From Cape Town International Airport (distance 90km) take the N2 Highway North past Somerset West, over Sir Lowry's Pass.
After Houw Hoek Pass, take the R43 Botrivier/ Hermanus turnoff to your left.
Travel approximately 26 km past Hawston, Vermont and Onrus.
At the 2nd set of traffic lights (2km before Hermanus), turn right at the SANDBAAI/Hemel en Aarde junction into Main Road (at Engen Garage).
Continue until you reach the T-junction at the beach front.
Turn right into Marine Drive (Kusweg).
Number 138 is clearly signposted 500 meters down the road on your right.
