Pine Lake Inn - Warm hospitality nestling at the Kruger Park

Nestling amidst the splendour of the Mpumalanga woodlands and overlooking a vast lake,

Pine Lake Inn is situated in a malaria free area, 35km from the Kruger National Park
and a short distance from Sudwala Caves, Sabie Falls and Pilgrims Rest.

How to get there:

Travel along the N4 Witbank Freeway to Nelspruit:
You will pass the following:
- Witbank
- Middleburg
- Belfast
- Machadadorp
- Waterval Boven & Onder
- Ngodwana (Sappi Mill on left hand side)

Arrival in Nelspruit:
At second set of robots turn left (Baberton/White River Road)
Travel straight along road for more or less 20kms to White River.

Arrival in White River:
Travel through White River
At the last set of robots in White River (Welcone Supermarket will be on your far right) Turn left here (you are now on the main Hazyview road R40).
Travel along this road for more or less 5kms.

White River Country Estates, Greenway Woods and Pine Lake Inn sign turn left.
Travel more or less 2 kms along this road (first tar and then 100m of dirt road).

Pine Lake Inn is on the right hand side.

The new rooms are very comfortable. Slight wafts of sewage whilst at the pool made for unpleasant tanning?

We found that although the room had facilities for coffee/ tea making there was no fresh/ long life full cream milk of any form. When I enquired at reception for some milk I was informed that it would cost R20.00. After travelling for more than 5 hours it would have been lovely to be able to have a cup of tea/coffee whilst trying to relaxing after such a busy day.(With out having to worry about how to go about it). The creamer that is supplied has many health risks, therefore many people cannot use it. The reception staff may need more training (or perhaps an extra person on reception when the hotel knows a bus load of people are arriving) regarding how they treat customers when booking in - as a bus load of people arrived at the same moment that we were booking in, we were left waiting while this whole bus load of people was being processed. Perhaps the bus load of people could be processed in the function room whilst the hotel offers them a welcome drink.

We (my wife and myself) enjoyed the stay. The position of the hotel next to the lake was fantastic and relaxing. Only one point of concern. While we were there, two coach load of tourists arrived. The restaurant was not ideally set up to cope. At breakfast in the morning, it was difficult to get a cup of coffee. The staff were running around with two flasks trying to cope. A coffee machine placed on one of the free counters would have worked well so guests could help themselves. Otherwise, we enjoyed our nights stay.
