At Wendys Country Lodge we offer 4 star luxury en-suite bed & breakfast accommodation in Zululand.
All our bedrooms are spacious, have comfortable twin or double beds, en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, tea/coffee trays and mini snack bars.
The rooms all have a view to the magnificent tropical garden, and three of our rooms have private patios where you can sit and enjoy the abundant bird life.
Honeymooners and Romantics are catered for in our charming honeymoon suites. For families we have a 2 bedroom Family Unit which sleeps up to 5 people.
Also a 3 bedroom double storey cottage, just off the premises, which sleeps 6 people - 2 twin rooms downstairs share a bathroom and one large open plan bedroom with full en-suite bathroom upstairs. Open plan kitchen/ lounge / dining room and built in barbeque on veranda/patio. Fully self-catering if preferred.

We are conveniently placed for many tourist activities being halfway between the Umfolozi / Hluhluwe parks and St Lucia Wetlands area. Situated adjacent to the Umfolozi Country Club offering golf, tennis, squash, bowls and an excellent restaurant.
Game Viewing:
Umfolozi - Hluhluwe Park which has the big 5. Of special note is the rhino population.
Being in a relatively high rainfall area, the carying capacity is high and there is plenty of game to see.
It is advisable to give yourselves 2 days for game viewing.
Zulu Culture:
The Dumazulu tradition kraal is only 20 minutes drive north of Riverview and caters for tourists wishing to experience the Zulu culture without too much commercialism.
Emdoneni - cheetah breeding:
This breeding facility is situated next door to the Zulu cultural center and is well worth a visit.
Trails:
Numerous walking trails are available. One of the most popular is the Mziki trail where sightings of crocodiles, hippos, water birds and buck are almost guaranteed.
St Lucia Wetlands:
Is a declared world heritage site. Several excellent boat tours are available covering various parts of the lake.
The main attractions are: Hippos, crocodiles, fish eagles, golliath herons, pelicans and a host of other bird life.
Beaches:
Cape Vidal (part of St Lucia wetlands area) has safe swimming and good snorkeling where numerous tropical fish can be seen.
Mission rocks (on the way to Cape Vidal) has beautiful walks along a secluded beach.
The St Lucia estuary and beach has numerous tourist related activities.
Mapelane is situated to the south of St Lucia and is a little out of the way but has a charm and beauty of its own.

Excellent fishing in the estuary, along the beaches and deep sea.
