Forest Valley Cottages offer fully equipped self catering accommodation on the edge of a magnificent indigenous forest valley just outside Knysna, with a glorious outlook of the Outeniqua Mountains. Our cottages and our new spacious house provide stylish, private and comfortable accommodation and a true getaway-from-it-all.

Earth Rose Self Catering Cottage:
Earth Rose is a deluxe self catering honeymooner which has just been boosted with a lovely face lift. The cottage has awesome forest valley views and is especially perfect for honeymooners or romantics. Kitted out with a queen bed with an electric blanket, fully equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge/freezer, ice and milk, a lounge with casual leather seating, Persian carpets, wood burning fireplace, flat-screen (DSTV/DVD), his and her showers and a large jacuzzi tub off the main bedroom. From the tub you can soak in a bubble bath undisturbed, sipping champagne and nibbling snacks, overlooking the spectacular views from high up.

If you are on honeymoon, we will set up the cottage beautifully for you fresh flowers, rose petals and champagne.

The unit has private deck with braai and hammock. Housekeepers arrive from about 10am, or when you are out, when the braai will be cleaned, beds made, dishes washed and sorted, and you will find firewood, grain sacks full, replaced daily for R50, and some charcoal and fire-lighters also for R50. Either may be used for the braai.

There is a pool for your pleasure (best from December to March), or you would like to lounge on the deck, absorb the fresh unclogged air, see the flowers and trees of deep forest valleys and the surrounding mountains.

A very private and safe environment, you can hike and cycle close-by in WORLD CLASS trails, swim in clean untouched rivers, visit the historic Mother Hollies Tea room from the 1800s, see the old mining equipment. So things are exciting if you book at BEAUTIFUL FOREST VALLEY COTTAGES.

The Knysna lagoon is 8 mins by car, then 9-15 mins on a scenic drive around the lagoon to Knysna itself where there is much to enjoy events, sightseeing, restauranting, touring, oyster tasting and ferry-tripping.

The best time to come into this area is from the end of September to May.

This is a dreamy 6 sleeper self catering cottage with an out of Africa feel. One bedroom accessed from the patio with twin beds that can convert to a king, en suite shower. The other 2 bedrooms are made up of one Queen bed and two single beds. Bathroom leading out into an enclosed courtyard garden with out-door shower. Separate indoor shower.
