However, we have two small children (age 2 and 4) and found the playground in a terrible state. It would be nice if you could revisit this area and update and fix the swings etc.
On a positive side the restaurant is a great asset to the resort.
Midmar Dam is the perfect hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Nottingham Road and yet its proximity still allows one to easily explore the surrounds!
Thank you again and we hope to be back soon!
Unfortunately we were subject to a wedding/ function that took place on Saturday 27/06/09 which was disgraceful in terms of the level of noise. Being only 24 years old please do not mistake me for and old person complaining. Blearing music started at 9am while they were setting up and only stopped at 21:30 after which shouting and screaming carried on for some time. It was truly disrespectful to the residents staying at the chalets and one wonders how the management of such a place can allow this kind of behaviour at what should be a nature like surrounding.
Perhaps we were the unlucky few to experience this once off event, it has however left an unpleasant memory. It certainly was an unfortunate stay.
We unfortunately had an incident of an attempted break in at 12.45 am, fortunately we heard them. The next night we heard shouting from another chalet at 1.30am. Reported the incidents to the security guard asking him to report it which no incident report came through to the office, as we questioned them upon leaving.
The camp manager was not in and they said that he would phone us but we are still waiting. We will be now writing to the KZN wildlife.
