The trail is sheltered from the wind by a beautiful forested valley. Birds include striking species such as the Knysna turaco, malachite and giant kingfisher, and narina trogon. Stop off at one of the riverside beaches en route for a picnic lunch or a dip in the water.<\/p>\n<p>This river route takes you to the Whiskey Creek Cottage, which sleeps 10 people in four bunk beds and two single beds. Here you can unwind on the spacious deck and enjoy dinner out in the open.
