Tsakane Safari Experience at the Tsakane Safari Camp is situated in the Northern section of Balule Nature Reserve and Greater Kruger Conservancy. This purpose built camp is set in a beautifully maintained indigenous garden. Guest facilities include a pool, reading lounge, bar, open-air dinner boma, Jacuzzi, conversation lounge and dining room. A maximum of eight guests are accommodated in two en-suite chalets and two luxury en-suite safari tents, all set in the bush fanning the perimeter of the camp. We believe that catering is integral to the safari experience and most meals are therefore traditionally prepared by our resident Camp Cook on an open fire in conversation with Guests.

Tsakane Indawo Trails Camp:
Tsakane Indawo Trails Camp is situated some 20km from Tsakane Safari Camp in the Balule Nature Reserve and Greater Kruger Conservancy. A maximum of eight Guest are accommodated in four twin safari tents while a traditional open-air dinner boma, splash pool and lounge deck with sweeping views across the reserve complete the camps facilities. All meals are traditionally prepared on an open fire and safari activities include morning walks, midday conservation activities and afternoon / night drives. Guests are hosted by an experienced Trails Ranger and Tracker to ensure an adventurous and educational walking experience.

We are proud of our twenty-five year injury free safety record and therefore safety is a key priority at Tsakane Walking Safaris. To maintain this record for the benefit of both Guests and Wildlife we employ a simple technique which includes an acute awareness of the environment and animal behaviour and the discipline to avoid situations which inevitably result in Trails Rangers having to defend their Guests through the barrel of a rifle.
Tsakane Indawo is home to wide variety of fauna and flora, including Africas big five.
The Trails Ranger is empowered to postpone or cancel any activities subject to safety and environmental considerations. Tsakane reserves the right, following a warning, to terminate the stay of any Guest breaching our safety protocol and thereby endangering the lives of other Guests, Staff or Wildlife.
