The Kimberley Club
was founded in August 1881 by leading men of Kimberley who wanted a meeting place along the lines of London clubs. Cecil John Rhodes was the prime mover in the founding of the Club and it was the men of the diamond industry who predominated.
The Kimberley Club has seen the "comings and goings" of some of the foremost personalities in the world. It has entertained sovereigns, princes & princesses, Governors and high commissioners and has housed legendary figures whose vision and energy have pioneered new territories.

These rooms offer a choice of twin or queen beds. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with shower, basin and lavatory. Selected rooms feature baths. Writing desks and stationary are provided. Most Standard Rooms open onto a charming courtyard with furniture and others onto a large balcony with comfortable armchairs. The Disabled Room is situated on the ground floor and provides for wheelchairs and shower facilities with custom designed handrails.Luxury Rooms:
Our elegantly decorated luxury rooms have an understated old-world charm, complimented by modern luxury for the discerning traveller. These rooms, larger in size than the standard rooms, have more spacious lounge areas and en suite bathrooms with slipper baths and marble vanities.Executive Suites:

Barnie Barnato Room – seats 6 – 8 people comfortably – ideal for private dinners or board meetings
The Library – seats approximately 24 people and has a built-in curtained stage – ideal for presentations and conferencing or private parties with entertainers.
The dining room – comfortably seats 60 – 130 people including dance floor – ideal for weddings, corporate functions, celebrations or themed evenings.

Café Vitello services a more casual approach to dining at the Kimberley Club Boutique Hotel. In the Rhodes Grill, the Bar and the other dining facilities within the Kimberley club a dress code applies, whereas the more casual dress is accepted. Café Vitello has a light Mediterranean menu mixed with Asian dishes. The food has a very fresh trendy approach. The Café is situated on the front porch of the Hotel and is the perfect outside informal dining area.
The Rhodes Grill Restaurant in the Kimberley Club & Boutique Hotel is an exquisite compilation of culinary dishes fused to temp the palate. There is no specific cuisine attached to it as there are different flavours to each dish which just work. The approach is good fresh food with a difference executed to perfection.
