This Farm style Self Catering accommodation has exceptionally beautiful views of the surrounding Magaliesberg Mountains on 6 hectares, offering a tranquil getaway for the city slicker.
We are pleased to announce the addition of our caravan. Our caravan has everything you need to really relax and make yourself at home during your stay. Fully equipped, comfortable bed and clean linen provide you with the perfect base for a happy holiday, – with the closeness you feel to nature when camping, all while keeping sustainability and the environment in mind.
A private bathroom with hot-water shower is built alongside the caravan. There is plenty of storage space and the site is electrified. The caravan has its own enclosed garden and private fire pit for your evening braai. Our caravan is nestled amongst lush foliage offering you ample privacy.

Accommodation at The Farm House Hartebeestfontein:
Accommodation is for two people. The Lounge is open plan to the bedroom and has a 2 seater sofa and arm chair. The bed is queen-size and linen is provided. The bathroom has a corner bath, shower, basin and toilet, please bring your own towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, has a fridge/freezer, microwave, 4-plate hob and washing machine. The garden is fenced which adds to the privacy and to cool off from the heat of the day there is a splash pool.
The cottage is serviced daily and if you let Brighton know what time you wish to Braai (barbeque) he will have the fire ready for you.
The majestic Magaliesberg Mountains are to the west and offer good hiking, climbing and abseiling.
The cottage is situated on the Magalies Meander so there are loads of interesting places to visit and things to do – to name but a few :- Sterkfontein Caves where the skull of Mrs Ples was found; Maropeng a museum listing the evolution of man; hot air ballooning, horse riding, micro lighting are all within a stone throw.
Shop up a storm for African curios at the craft market situated near Hartebeestpoort Dam or visit the snake park, aquarium, monkey and elephant sanctuary. Go game viewing and see the big 5 in Pilanesburg, which is set in an extinct volcano, visit Sun City and try your luck in the casinos or just have a lazy day in the valley of waves. These are just a few of the activities on offer in and around our holiday home.
