    Tarn Country House Activities:

The Garden Route's mild climate allows for many diverse outdoor activities throughout the year. Take a plunge into crisp ocean water, amble along beautiful white sandy beaches, hike or mountain bike in indigenous forests, fish, or enjoy whale watching, dolphin watching, horse riding, bird watching, golf and scuba diving.

Boat trips are also available for those who want to explore the Keurboom's River and bird sanctuary.

For the less adventurous, there is a comfortable lounge where you can read in front of the log fire or enjoy satellite television.

The Elephant Sanctuary, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay, sets itself apart from anything that the Garden Route has previously been able to offer in terms of elephant interactions. For the first time ever, guests are able to walk, hand-in-trunk with African elephants.

Alternatively guests can do elephant-back-riding in a natural environment in the heart of the Garden Route. The Elephant Sanctuary gives guests an enriching, satisfying interaction and experience with a group of elephants who enjoy establishing and forming relationships with people.
