Simunye Country Club is situated in the north eastern region of Swaziland. Simunye is a very large sugar estate with extensive ranches covering vast tracts of land in this very beautiful part of the kingdom.
The Simunye Country Club is home to the employees of the sugar estate and welcomes visitors who are enrolled as temporary members as soon as they make use of the many facilities offered at the Club. Surrounded by sugar fields the Club has single and double air conditioned accommodation, a full a la carte restant, golf, tennis and a good swimming pool plus snooker and darts in the club bar.
This is a wonderful place to stop enroute from Kruger National Park to Natal or on the way into Swaziland from Mozambique. Adjoining the Mlawula and Mbuluzi Nature Reserves is the Simunye Nature Reserve in which 4 picnic sites have been created and a walking trail is in place running alongside the full length of the Mlawula river.
Animal species include warthog, wildebeest, zebra, baboon, leopard, jackal, hyena, kudu and impala plus over 250 species of birdlife. Vistors to the Club may travel through the Simunye Nature Reserve and appreciate the efforts which are being made to conserve this entire Reserve region for posterity. The north east of Swaziland is a very special area, rich in wildlife, abundant in plantlife and a haven for bird watchers and nature lovers.
The most famous is probably the Buffet / Cavery, which is available twice a day from Sunday to Friday Lunch. A very popular el Fresco dinner, in the form of a Barbecue, is presented on Friday evening. A la Carte meals may be selected from an extensive menu also and the Club presents a mouthwatering selection of Pizza's and Wraps in the Pub menu. Catering for special functions is the Club's forte.
The infrastructure lends itself beautifully to parties for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas or year-end gatherings. Outside Catering is what the Club excels in. No function is either too small or too large. The Club has catered for Independence and His Majesties Birthday garden parties and banquets for ten consecutive years.
