Peace of Eden
Peace of Eden - Peace Backpackers Lodge is situated on Peace of Eden Farm, is a natural paradise and the first Vegan Vegetarian Backpackers accommodation Lodge in South Africa.

We are in the heart of the Garden Route a safe and unique place of extreme beauty and mystery where you can explore all this magical area has to offer. We are perfectly placed as a place to relax and unwind or use as a base to explore all the major attractions of Knysna and the Garden Route plus locally the lagoon, beach, forest and sea are only a mere 15 minutes away.

We offer a variety of creative options, from woodcutter cottages to retro canvas tents in the forest a true `glamping` experience - plus we have informal camp sites in a field along the forest edge. Please note we expect guests to respect our Vegetarian ethos whilst staying here, and though the units are self cater we do offer gorgeous vegan Breakfasts and our famous 3 course dinners.

We look forward to welcoming you and know you will leave energised and inspired.

Peace of Eden Guest Review

Average Guest Rating:
3.0 out of 5 based on 1 review.

I stayed in a canopy tent, which I believe is quite a new addition. There is still some work to be done to make it a comfortable stay. There are no electrical points in the tents, no hot water in the shower in dull weather (solar heated) and there is an Eco friendly "long drop" which takes some getting used to. The kitchen offers all the basic facilities. Depending on the goal of your stay, the cabins would be a better choice for comfort, although the double bed in the tent was very comfortable. Your car also remains in the parking area, which is quite a distance away. The birding is excellent on the property, which is tranquil and scenic, and the staff helpful and friendly.
