Here are lots of activities in the area like horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, the Map of Africa and golf courses. The Seven Passes route includes single lane bridges, forestry settlements, the scene of a brief gold rush in 1875 and the Woodville big tree.

The Wilderness and Sedgefield area, with lovely beaches and excellent restaurants, is only a stone throw away. Scenic Knysna is only 45 minutes drive and Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn are about one hour’s drive away and are lovely for a day trip.

The Seven Passes route is a 75km trip. It is the original road that was build by road builder and engineer, Thomas Bain, in 1867 for transporters to and from Port Elizabeth, which would include traversing 10 rivers and 7 gorges. With the beautiful mountain, green pastures of the farms, silence and beautiful stars at night, Grandma's Farmhouse is the ideal getaway from the city's rush.

We found the location between the Wilderness and Sedgefeild perfectly positioned as we weren't far from the beaches and had the luxury of being in the countryside which we really enjoyed. The accommodation is generous and comfortable, The garden is beautiful and wonderful environment to relax in when we wanted to be at home.
