Orange Kloof Tented Camp
is a picturesque tented camp in the ancient Afromontane forest of Orange Kloof on Table Mountain National Park
(TMNP). Enjoy a hot shower, an open fire and the pristine Orange Kloof forest.
The Orange Kloof Tented Camp is set amongst lush trees and shrubs in the Disa River Valley close to Hout Bay. The camp is accessible via Constantia Nek and has been constructed from alien trees.
The camp is made up of 1 x 4-sleeper family tent, as well as 4 x 2-sleeper tents. The tents are equipped with electric lights, single beds and mattresses with sheets.
The camp also has 2 ablution blocks, housing a set of showers in one and a set of toilets in the other. The showers have warm and cold running water and it is advised that clients bring bio-degradable soap only.
The communal area is made up of a big kitchen equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, as well as a big dining table for indoor dining. The outdoor communal area comprises of a big braai area, a sundeck, as well as a dining table for outside dining. There is a small dam for swimming only.
The camp runs on normal electricity and there are facilities to charge cameras in the kitchen area. There is no cellphone reception at Orange Kloof Tented Camp.
The Orange Kloof Tents are equipped with the following:
• Cooking utensils like pans, pots, plates, mugs & a two plate gas stove
• Beds with mattresses
• Glassware: Wine and drinking glasses
• A refrigerator with limited space
• Hot and cold water showers
• Fully equipped communal ablution facilities

Orange Kloof Tented Camp (TMNP) Activities:
Tough - 15,5km: Starting at the Silvermine Dam the trail descends Blackburn ravine then winds north through unspoilt fynbos with stunning views of the Cape Peninsula, and traverses Constantiaberg and climbs Vlakkenberg to Constantia Nek and then onto Orange Kloof.

Medium - 9,5km:
You can either start from the upper cable way station and hike to Orange Kloof.
Or overnight at Orange Kloof and the next morning hike from there to the cable way station. You'll ascend the back table via Disa Gorge and walk through the Valley of the Red Gods to the upper cableway station. Hikers are ferried down by cable car and the trail ends at the lower cable station.
Orange Kloof is, however, not only for hiking. Spent 2 nights enjoying nature, team-building or simply relaxing.

We had a ball, even if the weather was a bit restrictive. It was my daughter's 2nd birthday and the venue was great. We will definitely be back for the 5 day Walk.
