Modimolle Funky Stay Backpackers Activities: Splash Pool
If you wish to cool off, the splash pool at Modimolle Funky Stay Backpackers is the answer. The property’s ideal location is what sets it apart from other accommodation establishments in the area. For a true bushveld experience, guests need only look to the surrounding bushes, trees and shrubs that form the lovely Waterberg landscape. The area is also well known for its hiking trails, big game, hunting, adventure activities and more. For those who enjoy South Africa’s heritage, the several monuments and historic venues in town are must-do experiences. There is never a dull moment for anybody visiting Modimolle. Conferencing
Modimolle Funky Stay offers conference facilities for groups of up to 30 delegates. The brand new conference hall is located on the first floor of one of the Funky Cabins. The conference room is fully equipped with standard equipment, and also offers a variety of other sought after equipment that can be hired in for your event. The bright and colourful bean bags are for those who see conferencing as a team building activity – and what a better way to get the role players of your business together than in a circle as though sitting around a camp fire and sharing stories. With the large grounds, there is ample space for any team building activities you might wish to have.
Modimolle Funky Stay also offers a Funky Restaurant! The beautiful interiors on the first floor of one of the Funky Cabins have a relaxing atmosphere that has a front view of the calming pond. The Restaurant caters to groups and conferences and can serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as requested. The Restaurant can also be used to cater for your own functions, and is a fantastic venue for small gatherings of friends and family.
There is also an outside braai area where you can enjoy a steak or boerewors on the roaring fires. This enclosed area is open to all guests of Modimolle Funky Stay and is located between the Funky Cabins.
Things to do
Modimolle Funky Stay is not just a comfortable overnight stop, but is also set in the midst of an abundance of activities for the adventurous. Everything is within a 20 minute drive’s radius – from zip-lining, horse riding and walking trails, to an array of great eateries, the Big 5 and cultural experiences.
Lurking in the distance is Kranskop, the majestic feature of the N1 highway on route to Kruger Natural Park and the capital of the province, Polokwane. The name Modimolle is also the Northern Sotho name for the mountain, meaning the “God(s) have eaten”. Sounds interesting, doesn't it! There is a lot of history in the area - come and discover it all. The Nylsvley nature reserve is definitely at the top of our list of things to do!
Don't hesitate to enquire about directions to all these activities. Modimolle town, a mere 4km drive from Modimolle Funky Stay, offers a variety of well known restaurants, banks, shops and much more.
