Families can enjoy hiking trails, bird watching, game viewing and day to day farm activities. Winter visitors might be fortunate to experience snowfalls.

Kouwenburg guest farm is an hour's drive from the historic Graaff-Reinet and 45 minutes from the famous Owl House in Nieu-Bethesda.

    The guest house consists of 4 bedrooms and anemities.
    - Double room with en-suite bathroom.(shower)
    - Second room with double and single bed.
    - Third room with two single beds and baby cot.
    - Fourth room with double bed, three single beds and a baby cot.

    The TV/Dining room is very spacious and has a big fireplace for those romantic nights. The second bathroom has a bath, basin and seperate toilet.

    All linen and towels are provided for our guests. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave, fridge/ freezer, kettle, toaster, AGA stove and all cutlery. A chest freezer is also available.

    Kouwenburg Guest Farm is a self catering guest house. Guests are welcome to bring their own DSTV smart-card. There is cellphone reception on the farm, as well as Eskom Power.

    Kouwenburg Guest Farm Activities:

    There are hiking trails for experienced hikers and also easier routes for families, bird watching for bird lovers and great 4 x 4 tracks.

    Kouwenburg is also the home of Cold Mountain Nguni stud. Game species that can se seen include kudu, rhebuck, blesbuck, springbuck, and steenbok.
