The Kingfisher - sleeps 5 (2 double beds, 1 single)
The largest of all the rooms at Ivala with sweeping views over the Mooi River and Muden Valley, The Kinfisher Room has 2 double beds and a single sofa bed.
The Loerie - sleeps 2 (1 kingsize bed)
Arguably the most luxury of all rooms at Ivala, the Loerie has stunning views over the river and across the valley from both the bedroom and en-suite bathroom.
The Peacock - sleeps 2 (2 single beds)
With views across the Muden Valley and glimses of the Mooi River, the Peacock Suite is ideal for 2 single people sharing.
The Hoopoe - sleeps 2 (1 double bed)
One of only two suites at Ivala with its own bath, the Hoopoe looks over the couryard and Ivala's little moutain.
The Guineafowl - sleeps 4 (2 double beds)
The Guineafowl is on the ground level of Ivala Guest Lodge overlooking the front of the lodge.

Ivala is well known for fly fishing for yellow fish and is widely advertised in the ‘Complete Fly Fisherman’ magazine. Bait fishing is allowed for carp and barbel and we promote catch and release.
Bird and Butterfly watching
Avid birdwatchers will enjoy the birdlife which includes Hoopoe, Kingfisher, Hammerkop and more. In early spring butterflies form a colorful canopy over the bougainvillea bushes.
Thukela Game Ranch is only minutes away and offers game drives. Animals that can be spotted include Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra and a range of buck.
Not for the faint hearted, Imbabala Lodge offers quad biking and is also only a few minutes from Ivala.
