Imani Bush House and Silver Sky Chalet are both private, self-catering properties situated in an indigenous sand forest on Kuleni Game Reserve. Each unit has its own plunge pool, a shady breeze and game that tends to wander through the garden. The world stands still while you relax and listen to the sounds of nature. If action is what you’re after, the St Lucia wetland area, False Bay, Big 5 game viewing game parks and diving hot spots of Sodwana Bay are all on your doorstep.
We have 2 self-catering accommodation options:
IMANI BUSH HOUSE: Our main house has 3 bedrooms, featuring a King en-suite master bedroom with a freestanding bath and outdoor shower. The second bedroom is a twin en-suite, both have glass doors that slide completely open to views of the bush and lawn. The central lounge has comfortable furniture, DStv and a large, open-plan fully equipped kitchen. The front of the house is embraced by a wide deck with an outdoor dining table and plunge pool. The back deck has a pool table and drinks fridge. Our outdoor BBQ area called The Cabin is located near the main house and features a large deck with an open fire pit, outdoor furniture and bar area. Our 3rd en-suite double bedroom is located in The Cabin; perfect for kids or a couple wanting more privacy.
SILVER SKY CHALET: Our 2nd unit is situated 40 meters from the main house. It sleeps 2 people with double bed en-suite with tub and outdoor shower, large wardrobe area, plus an open plan kitchenette and lounge with DStv. The unit is very private with its own plunge pool, BBQ area and a lovely lawn. This unit can be rented separately or together with Imani Bush House.

The game park itself is secure and surrounded by an electrified fence that offers security to residents and protects the game. We have numerous well-marked walking or biking trails for the whole family to enjoy. Animals such as giraffe, zebra, kudu, wildebeest, nyala, impala, red duiker and warthog can be seen around the property (if it’s quiet) or as you explore on foot. There is also an abundance of bird life in the park and a bird hide & water hole is situated just a 150 meter walk through the forest.
Kuleni Game Park is a quiet and peaceful place; no loud noises or loud music is allowed.
Imani is situated approx 15k’s near the town of Hluhluwe and has easy access for day trips to Big 5 game reserves, the St. Lucia wetland area, False Bay plus beaches and diving or snorkeling in Sodwana Bay or bistro lunch at The Railroad Brewery. The reserve next door called Amorello has a restaurant with a large outdoor deck and wood-fire pizza.
The main bedroom is a spacious King with a large en-suite bathroom with bath and an outdoor shower. A 2nd twin bedroom is also en-suite. The 3rd room is located a few meters in front of the house at The Cabin; a charming double bedroom, also en-suite that is perfect for kids or a couple wanting more privacy.
Silver Sky Chalet is our second self-catering unit that is tucked into the forest approximately 40 meters from Imani Bush House. It has its own deck, plunge pool, braai area and a lovely lawn. The chalet sleeps two people and can be rented separately or together with Imani Bush House.
FROM DURBAN: Travel
north along the N2 Highway past Richard’s Bay and Empangeni, +/-
48kms past Mtubatuba/St.Lucia to the R22 Hluhluwe turnoff. Turn right
over the bridge onto the R22 and go through the town of Hluhluwe to the
last traffic circle and turn left. Drive approx 1 km and turn right
towards R22 Sodwana Bay over the railway line. Drive +/- 16 km and turn
left at the “Kuleni Game Park” sign. 500 m down the dirt road straight
to the main park entrance, sign in and ask for directions to Imani Bush
House.
TRAVELING SOUTH BOUND: Go south along the N2 Highway through Piet Retief, Pongola and +/- 49
kms past Mkuze to the R22 Hluhluwe turnoff. Turn left onto the R22 and
go through the town of Hluhluwe to the last traffic circle and turn
left. Drive approx 1 km and turn right towards R22 Sodwana Bay (over the
railway line). Travel +/- 16 km and turn left at the big “Kuleni Game
Park” sign. Go 500 m down the dirt road to the main park entrance, sign
in and ask for directions to Imani Bush House.
