Ilala Country Lodge
Ilala Country Lodge lies on the African Ivory Trail with the Iron age World Heritage Site of Mapungubwe 40 km away and 13 km from Beit Bridge Border Post.

Ilala Country Lodge lies 5km north-west of Musina on the R572 Pontdrift Road. Our self-catering chalets in Musina and main complex had been constructed in stone and thatch, blending perfectly with the natural bushveld surroundings of the 240 ha game estate.

Ilala Country lodge, located on an escarpment, overlooks the Limpopo River Valley offering sweeping views of giant baobabs and distant Zimbabwean hills. Ilala Country Lodge lies within the former BAOBAB Conservancy promulgated by Premier Jan Smuts and fine specimens of these giants can be seen on the estate.

Game species include: Impala, Gemsbok, Kudu, Duiker, Warthog etc. and various small mammals. LONELY PLANET tour guide selected ILALA COUNTRY LODGE as the “Editor’s Top Choice” for Musina accommodation. As an owner-run lodge, now in business for 23 years, we strive to live up to that standard.

Our host was very friendly. For a stop over it is ideal. We got there after dark and left before sunrise so I can not really comment on the grounds but the unit was old but clean and neat. Thanks again for your friendliness.
