Hlumu Lodge is also home to DIY Wild, a charity wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre. All profits from Hlumu Lodge go directly towards funding of the wildlife centre. By staying with us you are directly contributing to wildlife conservation. Educational tours of our wildlife rehabilitation centre can be arranged at the Lodge Reception.
At the lodge we have a restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy an intimate dinner or a drink on our deck watching the sun going down. For the winter months we have an open fire place in the bar where you can curl up on one of our couches and enjoy your evening drinks.
Hlumu Lodge has 12 individually designed stylish log cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas overlooking the spectacular Hlumuhlumu Mountains.

We have a selection of 2 Sleeper and 4 Sleeper non- self-catering cabins. These cabins either have 1 or 2 bedrooms with either double beds or single beds, all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, television`s with selected DStv and tea and coffee stations.Self-Catering Cabins
We have a selection of 2 Sleeper, 4 Sleeper and 5 sleeper self-catering cabins. These cabins either have 1 or 2 bedrooms with either double beds or single beds, all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and television with selected DStv. All self-catering chalets are fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, small 2 stove oven, toaster, kettle and all plates, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans.
All cabins are equipped with bed linen and towels. All cabins have their own braai facilities and private verandas.Over Christmas and New Year we require a minimum stay of 3 nights.

I had a good stay because of the environment, so quiet. You have time to meditate and have inner peace. However I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom.
