Clairewood is a place of quiet contemplation, where silence and solitude is measured by the harmony and tranquility of the Outeniqua mountains and surrounding indigenous forest which provides habitat to nearly 200 species of birds and wildlife such as monkeys, bushbuck, porcupine, bushpig and occasional otters.

Take a scenic 15km drive to George through indigenous forest via the Seven Passes Road (1km) or visit the breathtaking Map of Africa viewpoint (3km). Spend a day surfing, fishing, walking or picnicking at Wilderness Beach (5km). Visit Dolphin Point viewpoint (6km) or Wilderness National Park (6km) with its lakes and wealth of water birds. Visit Woodville's 800 year old big Yellow Wood tree (10km).

The chalet was beautifully set in quiet and picturesque surroundings, with all amenities one could hope for in a self-catering facility, tastefully decorated to boot!
